Loic Bade is very close to Sevilla. I like the fact that he is young, we need young players in our current roaster. But the problem is, he didn’t played whole season, only one appearance. So another big question mark about his fitness and form.
We hardly seem to have any requirements or buy power any more. The next Rusescu is on our radar aswell probably. Which again they made the decision to create more struggle for themselves. No well thought out plan in long summer? Let’s organise ourselves in a messy, panicky, overpriced, pressured mid season break with limited options. Oh yes please sounds like music to my ears said our board.
Joining up with Lope at Wolves?
Don’t personally think he’s any big loss. He may have obvious ability and has been a class player (shown glimpses of that with us) but he’s past his best in my opinion and not getting any younger. More pressingly still, he clearly doesn’t want to play for us and we don’t need that in our situation right now.
Need to rebuild with younger players.
Peace out Isco! Have fun fitting in anywhere when you quit on your team so easily.
We’re going to make some buys and rely on youngsters to help out, sounds like a plan to me, but risky.
Might be risky, but we’re currently in a position where taking risks is almost a necessity.
Do you think we will look at the South American market Tim?
Finally he’s gone, no need to hassle about him hanging around for 3-4 years on such wages.
Delaney and Marcao are injured again so Bade is cover for the latter only. Need more experienced heads to lead the defense so that should be the first area for reinforcement.
I’m thinking Bono would get some looks after a solid World Cup and much as I like him anything north of 25m should be seriously considered. I was also hoping YEN could’ve helped his stock but was pretty crap vs Croatia, at least he has that Portugal goal to go on so maybe recouping 20m isn’t impossible
I player I would really like is Azzedine Ounahi, he loves to bring the ball forward and make things happen, exactly what this club needs, and a wonder why the club did not have tabs on him.
If Ounahi is the Morocco player, he received very high praise from TV commentators during the World Cup. They said he’s on our radar apparently but that of a number of top clubs so may be difficult to lure him. One of the emerging stars to break out from the World Cup.
I hope we’re looking at him. Exactly the kind of player we need to build for the future. Would be an exciting signing.
I’ve heard some rumours about a Brazilian, I think we’ll be looking everywhere for some youth potential, everywhere from Chile to Mexico but Isco’s ticket might have to go to another Spanish, depends who goes.
Does anyone know what Lamela’s injury problem is?
A blessing.
To add to my previous post, I wonder if Bono and YEN knowing him at Morocco would persuade Azzedine Ounahi to come to us?
We can only hope.
Don’t suppose Alexis Mac Allister would be a possibility with Sampaoli being Argentinian? Certainly one of the other stars to come from the World Cup. Maybe the Argentina squad in general is a good place to look with a few of our players already coming from it.
All ideas anyway. I’m sure the board are onto it.
Rumors of a Gil and Sarr loan from the Spurs. Not sure if that’s true, but loans in January are often better options than buying folks imo.
I was hesitant to get my hopes up for the January window, but I’m starting to think we might make quite a few moves.
Kinda relieved Isco is gone, cause we’d have to fit our whole team around a player like that, and we don’t have the tools to accommodate him. It’s a drop in quality, but he was a luxury signing. I’m thankful for the Llorente-like gift of getting us into the Europa League, and hope he brings joy to wherever he decides to go.
Sarr and Gil rumours here. I’d take both. Youngsters what we need. If loan deals hopefully an option to buy if successful.
Anybody care enough to decipher this?
People with long noses make him tired so he will do something funny. Januzaj the modern jezus.
Who’s that?
40m?!
We’d be foolish to not accept that
