Summer 2024 - Sevilla FC Transfer Rumors

Indeed.

Criminal that the only defensive addition we’ve made is an inexperienced 20 year old left back.

This is despite the defence being the weakest area of the team in my view. Bade is the only defender I have any real faith in.

We’ve received an offer for Bade from Roma for 20m Euros.

Bade is reportedly considering it.

Orta spilled the beans that we have signed Leandro Antonetti.

A forward? Really?

Perhaps that is the thinking? Have someone to fill some LW shoes, too?

Btw, was going to express excitement at having our first US passport player on the squad, but then read that Leandro was born in Spain. Playing for Puerto Rico, I suppose he must also have US citizenship, at least.

Anyhow, rooting for the guy. Wondering if they try to give him a youth shirt?

I read that we already rejected it.

He’s joining SAT, not the senior team. I couldn’t figure out how that was a senior team signing.

If Sevilla sell Badé they’ll suffer big time because they just don’t have a defence.

Not much action on deadline day except for Pedro Ortiz added to the main squad, and that’s that on that.

Yet another defensive midfielder that just confirms we don’t have the players to make this 4-3-3 effective. We already defend with a 4-4-2, so we might as well give Isaac that partner in attack.

There is still the Depay rumour circling in the event that Ocampos signs for Monterrey. The Mexican transfer window closes mid-September, so if Memphis is still available, then it’s a possibility.

Thought you were just making a wish list until I read that rumor elsewhere…not the most credible of rumors yet, but definitely seems like it’s not just fantasy…

Depay would be a fair trade if Ocampos leaves.

Montiel could go to Napoli.

Bade is perhaps staying after all.

If we lose Bade in defence, we’re totally screwed.

I’m pretty sure if Badé left for $20m, that would more than cover Mario Hermoso’s salary. Just saying…there are options. I’m not rooting for it to happen, but there are options out there

Hermoso is very close to joining Roma or Galatasaray. There wouldn’t be much time left for a proper replacement if Bade leaves now - too late for that I’m afraid.

Otherwise it would’ve been an OK replacement, but why sell an already proven CB in his prime just to replace him with a CB that is more or less past his prime?

Seems that the club has set a 30m price for Bade in case someone wants to snatch him last minute.

Depay woulde be a decent replacement for Ocampos if the latter ultimately leaves. We are reportedly asking for 8m Euros and Monterrey are quite interested (their last bid was 6m).

Everything in air for now…

Depay has been a dream of mine for Sevilla since 2014. Obviously he’s not my first choice anymore (as he was then), but still very exciting as I never thought it would happen. Waiting for that confirmation :lion::white_circle::red_circle:

I’m torn on Depay/Ocampos.

If you look at Depay’s injury history, it’s not been great since he joined Barcelona. The last two seasons he’s missed 25+ games per season. He could end up warming the treatment table rather than the bench and end up as another high earner who doesn’t really contribute much apart from YouTube highlight reels.

I think Ocampos gives so much on the pitch, his end product has dropped off somewhat, when compared to the start of his Sevilla career, but he puts in a lot of KM’s & effort on the pitch.

Having Depay means having another body in the Isaac/Peque space, which might not be good for their development, especially if GP is only playing one striker up top.

I’m not saying no to Depay, but these are my concerns over the potential deal.

Totally agreed, Ocampos has had little to no injury time off. Djené put him out for five games in 2020 and he’s only had one other injury, missing two games. He’s got the talent but his style needs to evolve, no complaints with the work rate.

The good news for Sevilla is that I’ve seen six or seven clubs that are more likely to finish at the bottom end of the league.
