It’s Diego Carlos Orta

There were some reports of AcuƱa coming back injured from Copa America, but his wife has denied those claims. He has been training separately in the meantime. He should be returning to the squad this week, alongside Montiel & Navas.

Elsewhere, Ilaix Moriba signed with Celta Vigo on loan. I wonder if we’re still looking to sign one more midfielder.

Still nothing about a new central defender. Hopefully it’s one of those times where we don’t hear anything about it until we’re about to close the deal. For now, we go into Matchday 1 with Nianzou-Gudelj.

What if the reenforcement on centerback will be… Sergio Ramos?

He hasn’t got anything else. We have seen Navas say his goodbye before signing a new contract aswell.

I took the bait and purchased tickets for the Sevilla - Barca game because of this. Not saying I didn’t enjoy the trip or anything, but technically Navas owes me a refund for that :stuck_out_tongue: as I thought that’d be his farewell match.

It’s like the band KISS and their ā€œfarewellā€ tours.

I wouldn’t complain at all but I think he’s really gone this time.

I hope he just keeps hanging up! x.com

Apparently Chelsea are willing to pay Isaac’s release clause.

My guess is that the post was more of a joke to poke fun at Castro, but hey, stranger things have happened

That’s a pretty solid one…took me second to scroll down and see what it was about…but made me laugh

For sure, I just thought it was a funny tweet

So DC is available…?

Ideally, another prem club is more beneficial for him, but c’mon! Come back home! :hugs:

Its rumored, that Iheanacho and Agoume cannot be registered until there are another exits.

Sign them as youth players? :joy:

What’s the likelihood we can rely on MarcĆ£o at CB this season?

  • 0-25% He’s dead to me
  • 25-50% I believe in the guy, he could do it
  • 50-75% Maybe 3rd time’s the charm
  • 75-100% I believe in miracles, since you came along, you sexy thing

I’m asking because it seems like the probability you assign above makes a huge difference, and I just wonder if maybe the coach and mgmt are MarcĆ£o believers…and hence the lack of movement at CB…

Nope, they have stated that he is on the market.

It’s been over since he got injured already. Only reason i didn’t vote for 0% is cause he’s not ā€œdeadā€ to me. Why’d you put it that way?? :joy:

This poll is more suited for Nianzou… (or Gudelj, or JordĆ”n, or Suso… :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:). I genuinely believe the coach is working on Tanguy. All his errors are unforced, and he’d be fine if he kept things simple. But i struggle to think of examples of where a player of ours went thru a terrible patch, and got back to playing well.

This makes signing a CB even more frustrating. We have 2 players waiting to be registered, and we still need more to leave to get that defender we need.

This CB situation is horrible. None of Nianzou, MarcĆ£o & Salas are reliable (Gudelj gets a slight pass for me), and they’ve all have/had injury issues. And how bad is Gattoni for him to be getting tossed around like this? :sob: Quique performed miracles last season.

Nianzou doesn’t have good distribution but I think that’s entirely fixable. I’ve never studied his play but I get the impression he could come through, I have seen some good things but he’s going to have to work on his game.

What’s this about Gattoni getting rejected?
Also Januzaj injured and out for 3 months minumum, not our problem is it?

Reports say that Gallardo wants no part of Gattoni at River Plate. San Lorenzo was brought up as an alternative.

What happened with Januzaj was pretty sad. I pray he recovers well cause it looked like he was in alot of paim. He really seemed up to the challenge at Las Palmas, and to ā€œprove us wrong.ā€ It’ll be our problem if he begins to struggle for fitness and comes back next summer having not played much.
