Summer 2022 Transfers Conversation

Any news about the buy-back option expiration? Or it seems it’s permanent, a buy-back option within those 5 years in the contract… which is still good if it is 50m and he shines here. This could be a win-win easily.

It’s funny how some sites referring to him as Tanguy Kouassi (during his time at PSG), then he became Tanguy Nianzou, but then some refer to him as Nianzou Kouassi… wtf?

His real full name is: Tanguy-Austin Nianzou Kouassi, which if abbreviated is T A N K.

Can we call him TANK from now on… or from the moment he gels and plays well here?

He just landed, young guy who will learn a lot, you can see the inexperience, and it seemed to have gone quite quick. Eventho the price tag, I’m not directly expecting too much too early. Since entering the team always takes so long these years, but maybe due to the other sales and or injuries we get to see him more sooner than later.

Ok so now the CB part is over, probably the DM part as well - some sites said that he can play as DM too so could cover for Fernando and/or Delaney when needed.

Now all we need is a striker, right?

I’m quite pissed that Jordan is still in the club though. Should’ve sold both him and OT and get another midfielder.

Is this deal better @RyanMoore ?

I’m certainly satisfied with the deal. And for the record, I’m not a fan of loans, strictly speaking, but just don’t think it’s a tool we should be afraid of using in our toolkit. Vamos!

details of this loan do make it pretty appealing. we capture the majority of upside for him if he develops/takes off.

out of curiosity, if someone comes in next year and offers us 40m, we could sell him and keep 30m right? bayern can’t prevent us from doing that? he moves clubs and bayern retain buyback option? or do they have some sort of veto right?

I’m a little bit late to the conversation, but I didn’ had so many time on holiday. I think that Nianzou is great buy, finally we bought a young prospect who can develop here. So as @ShendM said our defence is now complete. For the striker position Icardi is offering himself. It’s a bit risky move, he is problematic in the dressing room and last year he didn’t show much on the pitch.

I notice that this year we get players only from big clubs (Real, United, Bayern), there is no longer the classic Mochi tactic of buying unknown players from the French and Dutch leagues.

I think that’s correct. It could be that we ask them first whether they want to buy him and if not then negotiate with other clubs, or something similar. In that case, Bayern will get 22% of the sale price as co-owners of rights.

Latest reports:

  • Munir very close to signing for Getafe

  • Rayo is interested in Oliver Torres but still haven’t made an offer

  • We can’t find any club to loan out Rony Lopes to so we’re looking to rescind his contract. He has 2 years remaining and 8 million in total, we are trying to lower that to 3 million. This fucking joke of a player has cost us a lot and provided absolutely nothing in return… one of the worst signings ever. I knew from the first couple of matches that he’s a waste of time and money.

Seems that might be in trouble because Getafe doesn’t want to pay Munir’s high wages. Munir may look back at the other offers.

The deal is kinda onesided in Bayerns favour. Especially if the buyback clause is around 40M. So he will improve here for 2 years and if he does, he would be worth quite more than that and they will still get him for below market value.

And the guy is not overly ready imo. He appeared to me a little bit overly aggressive and reckless, for which he was even critized by Naglesmann and he subbed him off at half time in a game, after he elbowed someone into the hospital. He was only given a yellow card, thanks to the Bayern Bonus. He is really great with and on the ball, probably has the best feet in Bayerns defense, but he tends to lack concentration here and there, which can lead to bad errors/brain fart.

Monchi does it again. Exciting signing. The next Kounde?

One can hope right! Same age, same country! I just hope he has the same attitude and drive as Kounde.

Even sounds like Kounde when we first signed him.

A striker and we’re sorted then? Could do with a midfielder maybe but not as urgent.

I think Monchi just might have it covered, my gut feeling again.

I mean… if the management and Lope think we’re ok with the likes of Jordan in the midfield then of course, we’re sorted in that department. The reality is different though, we have a very average midfield as of now. Fernando will not be the same as in previous seasons as he’s fresh off an injury (+ surgery) and we cannot expect a lot from Delaney, OT (if he stays) etc.

Things might change for the better with Isco, but there are still two key parts in the midfield that we’re struggling with, the DM and CM positions (deeper roles if we convert to 4-2-3-1.

Midfield or striker?

Both.
