Summer 2022 Transfers Conversation

The consistent decline of Jordán is really remarkable. When he joined I was so impressed that I kept telling my friends that the ‘Banega-Jordan-Fernando-trio’ was the unsung best midfield in LaLiga. Now he just plays like he lost all passion for the game.

It’s gonna be tough to sign kehrer when west ham will probably offer a higher transfer fee and higher wages.

let me just step out from the shadows and say: goddamn guys (and ladies)… 1k replies? amazing. loving all the content and thoughtful analysis from so many ppl.

reading back through the last 9 days was quite the emotional roller-coaster ride… morale really bottoming out 9 days ago and now rebounding a bit with Isco, Telles… faith in Monchi everyone.

last season was so odd… our abnormally strong start (with points surpassing statistical expectation) really created a lot of whiplash when reality settled back in and the law of large numbers had its way with us (for any of you stats/econ nerds out there).

im always torn between wanting the team to shock the world on the biggest of stages (la liga or CL), but also will always burst with pride when we make the more attainable achievements: 4th in liga, CdR, and EL. hoping (probably delusionally) to try and follow more closely again this season.

keep up all the great work everyone! pumped a new season is finally upon us!

It’s surely going to be tough, but whether we end up signing him or not will tell a lot about the sacrifices the management is ready to make in order to have a solid defense and a good season.

We’ve signed crappier 20m players before, I don’t see the problem spending 20m for Kehrer and paying a good salary - especially when you add to this the fact that he’s versatile and can play as DM too.

Then we’d only have to sign or loan in a striker and that’s it. That is if Oliver Torres doesn’t leave - otherwise a new CM should be signed too (Campana, Luis Alberto the current rumors).

Quick Translation: Munir not traveling with the first team. Leaving for Espanyol or Getafe. Will be replaced by a striker, but not RDT.

Hope it’s someone decent.

If this is true I wonder who it could be. Maybe RDT

Could definitely be RDT. He scored 17 goals last season and was joint 3rd with Vini Jr in the Pichichi ranking - hence the ‘importance’.

However, to be very honest, I don’t rate him that much. There’s always a chance he could do well here but it wouldn’t be an impressive signing. Not sure if he will be able to provide fierce competition to YEN and Mir.

If it’s not RDT, but still very important striker player/striker in La Liga, then let’s have a look at last year’s Pichichi ranking.

I doubt it will be any of: Benzema (lol), Aspas, Juanmi or Depay (although a winger).

Others from that list are: Enes Unal and Joselu.

Latest names added to the rumor list for the CB position (if Nelsson fails as an option):

Facundo Medina of Lens - 23 yo

Oumar Solet of RB Salzburg - 22 yo

Already rumored: Tiago Djalo of Lille, 22 yo

RDT, Unal, Joselu would be my order amongst the La Liga strikers we can realistically hope for.

Sounds like it could be RDT. That would be incredible. Let’s hope. He’s the one of best we can get in the realistic options and he has a great record of scoring 15+ goals every season. Knows the league well. He’d be a great addition.

I’d take anyone else of that calibre though. Let’s see what comes. It could be someone else but let’s hope they worth it.

Nacho Fernandez of RM, 32 yo, CB and Enes Unal of Getafe, 25 yo, ST are the latest rumors.

I think Enes Unal would be a positive move. He’s only 25 and his goal scoring at different clubs is decent and he did well at a struggling getafe side. Nacho would be a good addition and experienced. He’s a bit older though so wouldn’t get his prime years but looking at Real Madrid news it appears he wants to stay and they might offer extension.

I’m pleased Monchi is in discussions with some highly rated defenders or strikers. Let’s see what comes. Let’s hope we get 1 for each position and they turn out to be great ones.

I’d take that.

Biggest priority is defence and a striker. If we can get at least one for each position we’ll be ready to go.
