Summer 2022 Transfers Conversation

I think the passed three windows, where the build up was always towards, this is the window the ‘big’ transfers are about to happen, and eventually almost none did happen. Got us to the point, where now that it is actually happening we are just letting it happen and we are happy the drag is finally over. The Kounde soap show coming to an end eventually haha and there are so many returning rumours, that we are just patiently waiting what our main man will confirm. So here we are, Isco, Morellos, Senesi, Raul de Tomas, Sadiq, all have been rumoured for 2 years straight so let’s see it :man_shrugging:

Rumors that Sevilla wants Arambarri from Getafe.

He runs a lot and is a fighter… not sure if he’s worthy of a starting spot but could still be a good addition.

Seeing some rumors this morning that Marcao is on a deal for 5 years.

So it seems that Marcao is the replacement for DC… fair enough. Now all we need is 2 more decent CB’s to replace Kounde and an extra back-up and we’re all set. Rekiki could stay as the 4th choice CB no problem.

I think Rekik gets a chance to be the starter.

We need more playmaking in midfield. Unless he’s coming to replace either Jordán or Rakitic, i don’t believe this. Love me a Uruguayan player tho.

Also, i thought Gudelj was staying another year after reducing his salary. Apparently the highest in the team from what i read? I’ll try looking for the article.

Coming out of El Chiringuito, so take with a grain of salt.

I really can’t find any reason whatsoever for Gudelj to stay. He won’t ever be a starter, he’s a below average player and unless he wants to sit there and be a sub, get free money, I’d rather sell him or loan him out with an obligatory purchase option.

It’s not that we’d do the squad any favor if the likes of Gudelj stay.

He’s out of contract. Can’t sell him or loan him out

contract

Yeah my bad. For some reason I thought he’d been here for 4 years already.

Andrea Belotti has become a free agent as his contract at Torino expired today. Not sure how he’d get on in La Liga, but wouldn’t be opposed to him signing on with Sevilla.

Sampaoli has left Marseille after mutually agreeing to cancel his contract. It’s not too late to get rid of Lopetegui right?!

This is wild to me. They finished 2nd in a season where the league was over early. Wouldn’t mind seeing him in La Liga again.

Luuk De Jong back to PSV, fee is 4m. 96 games and 14 goals for us.

Yeah that’s decent deal, rumours were even 5-6m but it’s done at least, and we got space for salary and a new good striker. Just saw the principle agreement. For PSV in the dutch League his home, he will be great. Was of good value and will always remember those headers in the Europa League.

Luuk “Big Game” De Jong. Always appeared to carry himself in a professional manner. I feel we didn’t get the most out of him, but he still delivered in important moments.

Good player, needed better service to his head and not his feet. I’m glad he’s not going to Mexico.

These Italians messing w my emotions. They keep saying we making an attempt for Luis Alberto.

The latest: Óliver Torres + 15m for Luis Alberto

I wouldn’t mind Monchi making this move, but it’s so unlike him to make a signing like this with no future resale value.

He still has rest value tho, for 3 years at least, but you’re right it’s more like an investment into having a Sevilla known high level creative mid for the next couple of seasons to have some stability. Because if we only get those new youngsters mids we can’t be certain. I think it’s a good deal as well. For someone with potential to hit double numbers in goals and assists and help be more goal focused.
