Alfred Schreuder, the current coach of Club Brugge who was linked with us is now heavily linked with Ajax as a replacement for Erik Ten Hag who will join Man Utd.
Raul de Tomas is said to have told his teammates that his next club is Sevilla. The problem is his contract, which lasts until 2026. So probably not so cheap. However, he is a player who has been associated with Sevilla for a couple of transfer terms.
Other players added to the rumor list:
Wilfried Zaha (previously rumored too) of Crystal Palace - LW / 29 years old
Daichi Kamada of Eintracht Frankfurt - AM / 25 years old
Antonin Barak of Hellas Verona - AM / 27 years old
Atletico are in the race for him too. He’s a decent striker but not sure whether he’s an upgrade to Mir and/or YEN.
Espanyol overpaid for him in 2020, hopefully, we don’t do the same.
I would love to get back in the Gonçalo Guedes race. He’s had a great season after a few tough ones. I was really down on him when we were linked. His contract ends next season, so he’s probably on the move this summer.
I hope so, although Romano tweeted saying that was false, according to his agent
Reading an article on Estadio Deportivo and it looks like CAmpana is free now since Levante went down. Fingers crossed!
Diego Martinez, the coach who was also linked with us, has received an offer from Espanyol and is also wanted by Valencia.
We have reportedly renewed our interest in the 26 year old João Palhinha of Sporting Lisbon (DM).
According to Colin Millar, that’s the news that prompted us to move for him quickly.

Diego Martinez has done very well and even overachieved with Granada… but I honestly didn’t envision him as the right coach for our delicate phase right now - meaning I’m not sure he could be our Simeone, which we dearly need.
However, what might help with his fast adaptation is that he has managed Sevilla youth team, Sevilla C and Sevilla Atletico from 2010 to 2017.
Same. My early feelings see him as a sort of Berizzo/Machín type signing, but he isn’t the kind of manager who stays stuck to one idea.
Exactly
Don’t know a lot about Martínez or Gallardo and certainly don’t want to be writing either off before they even get a chance if one becomes manager, however what would you say their style of play is? Do they like to play attacking football and it will be a lot different to Lope?
I like the fact Martínez has a past at the club so knows it and he’s clearly done a good job with Osasuna and Granada.
From what I’ve read about Martinez, he tends to play 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 but is flexible. His team’s tend to be defensively solid, press teams and attack on the counter. This might be a good next step on from Lopetegui’s play, with an emphasis on solid defense, but with a bit more pressing and counter attacking.
Not sure about Gallardo, he was being heralded as a future Barca manager, but they never made a formal approach for him. I guess being linked to Barca probably tells you a bit about how he plays football
Luis Suarez linked with us once again… the Uruguayan.
We’re also linked with the 21 year old striker of Bayer Leverkusen, Paulinho.
Really depends on what manager we will get as well. No sense in getting Paulinho. Suarez would make more sense with Lope.
No…please God no.
