Summer 2021 Sevilla Transfer Rumours etc

Totally agree with this. I agree we should hold out for the clause ideally. However, if they up their offer a bit and even if it’s not the clause we probably should sell. That’s debatable whether they do though. As like you say I think his mind has left us currently now so I don’t want to keep an unhappy player ideally.

Especially as the funds will help bring us in some good additions to boost us maybe 2 centre backs and a winger or at least 2 more players. We still need to deal with the frozen out players being the likes of gudelj, de Jong, munir, etc. Maybe we get some funds for them to help get a deal done too. As we have too many players at present especially if we looking to bring someone else in or more than one.

Still if kounde does stay and he does comeback with the right attitude then will be great to keep him of course. As he’s a top defender and we will miss him a lot but the attitude and mindset is obviously very important here.

I keep forgetting we’re actually in 2021 lol I feel like most of us lost all of 2020 and are struggling to process that still haha

This late, we can’t let Koundé go. Don’t sell unless Chelsea pay the full release clause, there’s hardly enough time to sign a replacement.

Kounde could still end up in the Premier League and London if he wants. Remember Tottenham? The clubs were in agreement but Kounde killed that deal. His replacement was in the package but all three parties have to agree, right Jules?

I remember Maxi Gomez choosing Valencia over West Ham because of Champions League football. How’s that looking right now? Tottenham may not be there this year but things can change quickly in one season.

This deal depends on whether or not Monchi has Kounde’s replacement lined up. If not, even the release clause being met doesn’t make football sense for Sevilla.

If Monchi does have a replacement lined up, I would expect a compromise right in the middle of the 50-80 million bid/ask. 60 million euros plus 5 million in easily obtainable bonuses.

Maybe that’s why the team is always lacking “winner mentality”

“ Many have been surprised that Chelsea’s bid for Koundé was so low and even lower than that of the City last year of 55 million more Otamendi. Apparently there is a reason why his offer has not exceeded 50 million euros, and he has leaked it to the English media in recent hours.

Apparently, someone with executive power at Sevilla FC informed Londoners that the offer of 50 kilos would be accepted. In the Spanish capital, some media have also published that a part of the top management was in favor of giving the go-ahead to the operation, under such economic conditions. We will see if Monchi gives any answer to this information tomorrow”

How can you be this petty?? :joy:

Reports saying Chelsea are still trying for a deal and they might offer 65-70 million. 65 is still low, so Monchi better back up and kill this deal already - break off the negotiations.

We don’t have time to find 2 proper replacements anyway and we still need 2 more players plus a lot of departures need to happen. I’m fearing a mismanagement at this point.

Apparently, one Chelsea fan does have some grey stuff between the ears …

Why are Chelsea fans mad at Sevilla in the comments? It’s West Ham’s fault for delaying the Zouma deal. Of course Sevilla are gonna want more money Koundé is a valuable player for them and the transfer window is almost closed.

Ideal scenario: we sell Kounde for 55-60 million, we sign/loan in an inexperienced replacement just for the sake of it and left with Rekik as the main first sub or even as a starter as he’s brilliant.

Mission completed!

It’s very frustrating for us - now just imagine how frustrating it must be for the parties involved, especially for Kounde. Break off the negotiations already and get done with this crap!

I do agree with you here. I thought the whole point was to avoid this last day drama. I’m surprised and a bit disappointed this saga has been dragged into the last day.

Reports in ED saying Valencia have rejected 10m euros + Gudelj and Munir for Maxi Gómez

Why would we go for Maxi Gomez? When we just got Rafa Mir. Is Lope actually out of a sudden going to play 4-4-2 or what is that about?

Confusion to the max.
