Summer 2021 Sevilla Transfer Rumours etc

“Monchi looks for equipment to Gnagnon, Amadou and Pozo and hears offers for Munir, De Jong and Gudelj. The departure, especially of one of the attackers, would open the door to being able to close an offensive reinforcement such as Corona, for which negotiations were halted due to the high cost of the operation, or that of Pablo Sarabia”

That’s the only logical successful scenario, otherwise we are one injury/suspension to DC or Kounde away from chaos.

I just hope that this isn’t true. He is old, slow, only passing back to defenders, really not the player he used to be few years back.

Kabak is off to Norwich, so one rumour less.

Doesn’t make any sense for us based upon our current midfield. Why do we need him? Anyway, probably just a rumor to get Juventus moving. Folks love to use Sevilla as a chip to get things to move.

Are we still in for Sven Botman? If Koundé were to leave, I think he’d be the ideal replacement since he’s a young prospect as well

I think Djene from getafe might be the first target then Botman. As it stands though Kounde may stay but we still need another centre back anyway.

Oh okay thank you

Chelsea can go pound sand. They have the money but are trying to low ball. I don’t fault them for trying to get a good price, but they way they have been toying with this transfer leaves a bad taste. Sh!t or get off the pot. Kounde will be with us this year. Hopefully someone talks with him so he can get right in the head to do well this year for us.

This is always a double-edged sword for the player. He could hold a grudge or not get himself ready mentally to perform at the highest level (although it’s tough of course), but then he will stagnate and not develop into an even better player, which therefore makes him less desirable for big clubs.

So… is this it? We need another CB and another winger… Monchi…???

Unless something drastic happens I can’t see much more activity. Unless all happens quickly tomorrow but we rarely do late deals like this.

Keep in mind that the La Liga window doesn’t close until the 2nd. The EPL window closes tomorrow, but we’ve still got another couple of days to sign replacements if any last minute sales go through.

That’s a good point. Therefore we still have a bit longer to do business. Chelsea though if they want kounde need to act early tomorrow. I still hope we can sign another defender and another winger at least. If we get the funds for kounde we will probably get the players we want.

I kind of want to keep kounde in a way because he’s important to us and a great player. On the flip side I also kind of want him to go too because the money we’d get from him will allow us to get a corona or sarabia and either djene, botman or both. We could really strengthen the team in a couple of areas and we don’t know what kounde mindset will be like if he stays. I guess we find out tomorrow one way or another. I’m just glad this saga ends one way or another because it’s been a dark cloud hanging over us for nearly 3 months now.

24 hours for Chelsea to meet the release clause. I’m not sure it will happen.

What’s your feelings on it? You want him to stay or go so we get new signings in? Either way I’m cool provided they pay the clause but like you say it’s up in the air now.

Highly doubt it too, if they do, they are real scum.
Dragging for months just to mess us and Jules up.

I prefer Sale, but he is smart and will know that when the market closes, things are the way they are. No way around it. Maybe he will slump a bit but once he realizes that he needs to work to stay on top and should be ambitious as Nesyri has said, to try and go for the title in his last year.

Exactly right. He may slump for a bit but what choice does he have? He’s in the prime of his career and has opportunity to still grow as a player. He’s a regular starter for us and got champions league footy. I guarantee if he goes to Chelsea he wouldn’t be first choice straight away. Sometimes the grass is not always greener on the other side and he may not adapt to premier league as well as la liga too.

Honestly why did they even try to bid 50m. Kind of disrespectful in the first place. For sure a club of their status.

Its like if Real really really really wanted Mbappe, and are like: Here is 100m. We good?

If it is the release clause that’s being paid, I’m split. Anything less and it’s an easy “I want him to stay”

My biggest concern is how late it is in the window, and other clubs would be hesitant to sell as well, especially when they know we’re so desperate.

However, if he really set his mind about leaving, it would make more sense to sell, as I don’t want an unmotivated player on my team.

Either way, we need to sign another CB
