It’s all getting to close to the deadline. It’s a shame this situation couldn’t be sorted a couple of weeks ago. It’s all very unsettling and if he goes we really don’t have much time to act to get the replacements we need.

I agree with this. I’m glad we are standing firm on this and asking for the full price or close to it. Well they in the last chance saloon now. If Kounde does stay I agree he may sulk for a bit but he would soon come round as what choice does he have? Unless he wants a year out of football not playing in the biggest matches.

Totally agree with you here. If Chelsea can spend 100 million quid on Lukaku I’m sure they can sign a young talented center back for at least 75 million.

I’m with you on that, if the club deregisters the player AND rescinds the contract he is a free agent but then the club can’t sell him.
I was hoping that the rule was something new that would allow us to sell him within within uefa jurisdiction.

Ocampos is an uncertain case still too. Its hard to get a story clear, with statements like ‘injured’ or ‘not fit’ in times of transfers. Same with Cucurella, who’s not sold officially either. If Ocampos in the end gets sold to Liverpool we get another problem on the left wing. Can’t wait for the deadline, and move on from the drama’s.

The latest news. This is good to hear from the Sevilla board. They feel it’s likely he might stay after all. As they not convinced a bid for this amount will come in time. Let’s see what happens but I’m pleased we holding firm.

Conflicting stories lol. It may still happen but who knows? Milan are having the same complications that we faced, paying the extra money to the third party twenty. We couldn’t negotiate it and Milan are having the same issue. We will see what happens.

The lies from the British and Chelsea media is ridiculous. They keep saying we upped our price. No, you guys made an offer way too low from the price we wanted from him in the first place. They don’t stump up the bid to what we want then they don’t get there man. It’s really that simple.

January will be even worse for us. We will be forced to accept the 50 million (or less) offer, because 3-4 months have passed right? - and we’ll need 2 reinforcements that will be even harder to obtain in January. Botman would be CL tied for example, not sure if the rules are still the same.

I personally think if we hold on to him now we will probably get another year with him. Then he probably goes next summer. I feel this is Chelsea chance to get him or the opportunity will pass by for them. Transfers of this statue rarely happen in January in mid season and it’s a smaller window.
Next summer another club like Real Madrid or another European team might come in with a better offer. To be honest right now or this season Chelsea don’t really need him. They already have a settled and top defence which is arguably the best in the world right now.

Chelsea’s defence looked very solid against Liverpool. Nothing wrong with their back 3 of Azpilicueta, Christensen and Rudiger. They don’t need Kounde.

We made an offer for miralem Pjanic. Great footballer. But they say he’s waiting for Juventus to come back at him. Not sure what to think about it, but he has things that Banega had too. He’s 30 now.

It would be great to get another season with kounde. As that Carlos-Kounde combo is immense. If kounde doesn’t go sure he might be a bit disappointed but he still loves playing for us where he’s a guaranteed starter and has champions league football again. He’s only 22 and has plenty of time ahead of him to go to other clubs. To squeeze 1 year with him would be great then it’s likely we lose him but probably not to Chelsea I feel. It’s now or never for Chelsea or it’s likely another club will get him by 2022.

That’s the dream scenario for us. We keep kounde and also get a new talented /promising centre back too. I hope that outcome happens.

I liked him at the world cup, seemed like a fighter only his mental was a bit loose iirc he got some stupid bookings but looked alright in general.
We were after him two years ago but then he signed at l’OM.
