Summer 2021 Sevilla Transfer Rumours etc

The scenario i prefer is taking 70m+ for Kounde, and filling the 2 CB spots with Boateng & Kabak. I know the latter didn’t exactly impress at Liverpool, but a backup role in a Lopetegui team can reflect the same kind of progression Kounde had in his first season. Boateng could sort of ‘pave the way’ for him, similar to Carriço with Jules.

That or 50m + Zouma and we get Boateng, I’d be happy either way.

What an interesting and unique summer for this Sevilla squad.

Pretty quiet today so far on the Kounde front. Only this:

Rumors of Zouma wanting to stay in London and go to West Ham. Would almost be better if that means they are obtaining more money to pay for Kounde.

That would be awesome and would fun the rest of our wishes I bet.

Best news so far, stand your ground and they will respect you, both to other clubs and your own players. Kounde had a 20% sell-on clause that will go back to Bordeaux when he came to Sevilla so it’s only right that they hold out for as much cash as possible.

The Guardian reports that West Ham have also shown an interest in Zouma and are preparing a 20m pound bid, someway short of the 30m Chelsea value him but 10m is like taking Uber rather than the bus for Premier League clubs. Zouma may also want to stay in London.

Only good thing about this window is see Real crumble, they decided not to keep Ramos and have lost Varane to Man Utd for a measly 41m pounds, shows they’re very much in need for cash. Their center back rotation is now just Militao, Alaba along with Nacho with Vallejo as backup, I daresay we are their equal.

Exactly, maybe they are moving him out first, making sure that Zouma’s deal with West Ham is finished. To pay up and close the Kounde deal soon after that one. It’s probably not the money that is the problem, but just to finish business before business. I expect it to come to a close soon, Kounde will leave us for Chelsea.

Updates from Instagram pages which I follow. Apparently Sevilla have made a breakthrough in negotiations for Joselu and he is close to signing, transfer price is reported to be 8m Euros instead of the reported 20m, this and the fact De Jong would be off makes the deal easier to accept; the page also stated he won the most aerial duels in La Liga, I guess Lope is trying to bring in the heavy artillery with him, Carlos, Boateng and Zouma if all do join the club.

Levante is rumored to have trouble meeting the salary cap for next season and may be forced to sell some high earners, one of names that came up was Campana . . . I don’t care how many attacking minded midfielders you can have in your squad, sign him up.

Totally agree. We could def use him in 1 of the pivot roles behind Papu/Oscar.

And Levante are offering up a loan for him + option of 12-15m. Seems a low risk move.

Heavily doubting Zouma coming. If he wanted to come it would been done already. Also starting to doubt Boateng, he probably has a variety of suitors.

I think we will be looking somewhere else and I’m perfectly fine with that.

Also I’m down for Campaña

I agree about zouma. Looks like he’s keen to stay in London and I’m sure Chelsea and West Ham will find a balance between the 20mil offer and 30mil asking price. I would imagine that money will go towards the offer to is for Jules.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the Boateng deal if it’s still going ahead will depend on Jules leaving. Again wouldn’t be cheap on wages so all that money and his wages would help.

Campana is a no brainier for me. Quality player and adds depth to the squad. Like Edinho said, I could see him more central within the rotation with Rakatic ect.

How do you guys feel about the LW spot? Are we sticking with Ocampos/Idrissi? Or do you think Monchi will go for someone to better compete with Lucas?

It’s a bit optimistic to think Guedes is coming, but with the Kounde money…

I would imagine Campana would be fairly cheap as well. With him coming off the ACL.

Papu likes playing from the left side more as well, but fill it in differently. So for me Ocampos/Papu. Idrissi showed last year to not be of any value for Ajax, playing almost nothing. 1 first eleven, 5 substitutions. No shame (Ajax are good) but the level gap is just to big. We overpaid for him, and we found out he didn’t have the potential that some of the scouts hoped to see him develop.and he couldn’t make the step to up his level, in our team the first half, not in the eredivisie the second half of the season. For me its a no for him.

If he stays, he will waste another year of getting 300 minutes in total. (last year he had 231 minutes over the whole season). Not even due to harsh injuries, just by not giving the staff reasons to put him in over other players. Pure outclassed. He should go to mid tier Eredivisie again.

Idrissi out, Guedes in would be a big plus.

Do we have room in the squad for Guedes? with Ocampos, Suso, Oscar, Oliver, Lamela and Papu already with the likelihood of YEN and Joselu as the Strikers. (Unless I’ve missed some news about any of the above leaving)

You would like to think them 6 would be interchangeable enough to cover left, centre and the right hand side. I would like 1 more like a Guedes then that’s proper depth. As I don’t see Idrissi or Munir staying around personally but even then that’s a lot of players we have. If we were able to make room for Guedes then I would be very happy.

I’d probably say central midfield is more important at the moment now and obviously centre back if Jules does go. As much as I do like Jordan, Rakitic and Fernando. We are still a little light in there for me.

I’m still puzzled as to where this claim originated if Chelsea weren’t talking direct to SFC.
