That was some matchfixing defending. For Who and how terrible are they shielding the ball from? Bono is on the ground ffs.
If you ask me, Iâd prefer to just take a large fee of cash and not a swap deal.
Zouma or Rudiger would be a decent replacement at center back but I think in the long run the large fee would be better
I agree, and also in the long run I want a player who wants to play for the club. For the second player in the trade deal, in a way I can have my doubts about how bad they want to play for the club. For sure it depends on the player, but I prefer the players willingly choosing us and wanting to prove themselves.
I know they can say no (meaning they probably wonât get to play, already forcing a bit) But If they tell you, your possibly moving out, and they got a deal with a club, and they tell him itâs going to be Sevilla. And heâs like okay well alright, I guess I go to there then. Just coming for âworkâ kinda vibe.
In the end, I just hope it works out
50m + Zouma is what I would be okay with but I doubt thatâs realistic
This would make more sense as it would give us some money to reinvest plus a back-up defender. Then if we could get Boateng weâd be all set at least for this season.
Sevilla is offering Schalke 17m for Kabak, finally young player rumoured to us. His market value is 25m.
İ donât know how he is worth 25 millions, he is not rated well even in Turkey. His spell in Liverpool wasnât as productive. Seemingly Klopp didnât see the light in him, hence they didnât use their option to buy.
I share the same thoughts on him. Still better a tank like Kurt Zouma and an experienced veteran like Jerome Boateng if we want to truly cover Koundeâs departure⊠otherwise itâs just messing around at this point.
As for Boateng turning 33 this September, we have to remember that Bonucci is 34 and Chiellini turns 37 in 2 weeks.
Second EPL club that has offered 30m + a CB. That price is a hard no for me. I hope we are not in such a rush to sell Kounde after the Gil sale.
Very low indeed. It should be at least 50m + Zouma in this case. Monchi ?

Iâm shocked theyâre even entertaining offers that are so low. I wonder if Monchi is willing to take less to send him out of Spain.
Thatâs an interesting perspective, sell him for a lower amount only not to leave him in the hands of RM. However, thereâs very little that Monchi can do about Uncle Perez, the refs and everything. Laporta is also known to have a lot of impact within RFEF, and since Atletico won it last season, you can imagine the fierce and merciless battle that the big two will make to win the title this season, so we can wash the hands of La Liga this time around. Monchi and co should focus on CL and maybe CDR if the big two are not hungry enough for that too.
The koundĂ© transfer doesnât begin to convince me itâs actually happening.
How can a player agree terms with Chelsea and expect SFC to say âOh, thatâs nice of you and I see youâve organized an exchange player to cover the shortfall in moneyâ
Did Koundé know Zouma would want Sevilla or that Sevilla would want Zouma?
Itâs not outside the realms of possibility that such a deal has already been organized and theyâre just dotting the 'iâs and crossing the 'tâs. But blimey, itâs no way to do business.
Iâm inclined to think Sevilla will hold out for âŹ75m cash at least.
I think they just mean the player has agreed to personal terms. Contract length, and amount of money. While players pay their transfer fee, it is the meetings between the two teams to discuss transfer amount and player exchange. Zouma would also have to agree to terms with Sevilla, contract amount and years before the deal could be done.
Thereâs that, and thereâs this.

I could understand Lamelaâs desire to come here, but for Zouma? He just won the CL, and now Chelsea are about to go for the PL title. I wouldnât think itâs that easy to convince him to come here. Those Chelsea wages boyâŠ
And whatâs the deal with us trying to get Boateng AND Kabak? Are we getting rid of Diego Carlos as well???

A bit worried about this much change in our defense if so. We were top 3 in the league last year.
Eh, is it too much to ask Bono to make a bajillion saves? Seems reasonable to me! Might as well sell all the defenders and invest in the front line.
Yes, those were the words I was searching for. I think itâs fairly obvious that SFC are involved and open to the ideas of KoundĂ© leaving (OK at the right price) but accepting another part exchange player, to me, is a bridge too far.
Things are definitely moving tho, pretty sure in one week we know a whole lot more.
Romano is a pretty reliable source of info so that 30m plus Zouma offer was very likely tabled to the club, if thatâs the case tell them to fk off.
Iâve always been of the opinion that ''market valuation" is just something for clubs to price out suitors or to ask for a bigger transfer fee. If Zouma is anyway near the stated 32m then by adding another 30m does that mean Kounde is worth âjustâ 62m? Sevilla have slapped a 90m clause on him, sure I think a bid in the region of 75-80m could be negotiated with the right clauses but to let him go at this price is making a joke of the clause and also the club. The majority of la liga clubs hold out for the clause and if their suitor values that player at the price then pay up. Now is not the time to negotiate and accept a lowball offer, especially for your prized asset - no club will take you seriously in future transactions.
Also not seeing the sense in Kabak, as @sevillafan stated he isnât rated well in his homeland and was drafted in as a stop gap for Liverpool and didnât impress. Liverpool had an option to buy him for 18m (21m euro), after turning that down Schalke offered to sell him for just 8.5m (10m euro) which was also rejected by Liverpool. Now Schalke have been relegated and are in need sell their players for cash so we step in and offer them 17m euros? (14m pounds), didnât know when Sevilla become a charity.
