Yep, hell Google wouldn’t even load their stuff for the longest time.
Wait what
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Chelsea open talks about Kounde, he wants the transfer, but fee is the problem for now.
Okay let’s wait out the negotiations. Rumoured also still Man Utd isn’t over, might pair him with Varane.
I’m happy with either, since we won’t be playing against him in LaLiga. If he had joined Real I would have been a bit dissapointed.
You guys feel like if the talks struggle, there are players we should be interested in, to involve in the deal?
In their defence I personally don’t see any, so might be a no.
I would prefer the 80m. I’m always weary of Chelsea contracts cause we know they pay their players well. I think that’s a reason we’ve never done business with them. But do we now have that kind of money to take one of their players in a swap deal?
If there’s any player i’d want from Chelsea it’s Rudiger. That would make a mean pairing with Diego Carlos. Other than that, they better offer at least 70m. We have been linked with Zouma & Bakayoko in the past, but not sure if the interest is still there.
Also, there’s still reports coming out that we’re in talks with Boateng. The latest says we’re offering him a 3-yr deal, and will make about 1m less than Rakitic.
If we could get 50 million and one of Chelsea players that suits us I’d take it. If we got 55-60 million though that would be even better.
Rudiger would be best, but I don’t see that happening from their perspective. Ziyech has declined us before, so it shouldn’t be him, and we are saturated on AMs.
Marcos Alonso was the other one, before. Might be including him, but we need to cover the centre. If we don’t want Pablo Perez to back up Acuna.
Bakayoko, might be best one, but at the position we have the best in Fernando.
We definitely need to look at our wishes. Not just take the players for scrap.
I know people would want the big bucks or just disagree with me. But for me, if we could get a big ish fee and someone like bakayoko. I would probably take that. As long as someone like Boateng was coming in also.
I know we have Fernando but I feel like some like Bakayoko would be decent in our midfield in front of say Carlos and Boateng.
But he wants to go to Milan anyway so I doubt it would happen.
I agree with that, but also Emerson seems to me really good back up option for Acuna.
There’s whispers that there won’t be a swap. It’s likely Chelsea will just pay a fee around 70m. @sevilla_spurs says it might be 75m+5m, covering the 80m clause.
Varane goes to Manchester U
It has been speculated, here, that it means Kounde → Madrid
I thought his clause was 90?
Anyway, good business if we get that. Chelsea can pay too.
Latest news from Romano is personal terms are sorted out on a contract till 2026, it’s just on a club level now. So while some of us thought that by giving up one of the best young players of the squad in Gil we could have the money to keep our prized asset Kounde, the club had other ideas; garage sale in full swing now.
If we are resigned to losing him then play hardball this time, pay the full clause or fk off, Romano said Chelsea offered Emerson plus cash. Emerson did make the Italian Euro squad but barely played last season so they were just taking the piss and hoping we would take some deadwood. Chelsea are probably going to try again and offer some other over the hill crap like Marcos Alonso, Zappacosta, Batschuayi or even Baba Rahmann and hoping Monchi would bite. Screw that I want cash, Chelsea showed last season they can pay.
The only Chelsea players I want are Bakayoko or Christensen. Kante is a dream but they wouldn’t let him go. Ziyech turned us down once so screw him. Rudiger would be an acceptable consolation but Tuchel really likes him, calling him back into the fray after Lampard froze him out of the squad completely. They wouldn’t want to lose Rudiger but it’s fair price if you want one of the best la liga center backs of last season.
Just hope this cash + crap player tactic doesn’t gain traction or Sevilla will become the trashcan for unwanted Premier League players, Arsenal would be licking their chops at Jordan and offer Xhaka plus 10m.
Argentine attackers that people are most familiar with:
Messi, Lautaro, Dybala, Di Maria
Argentine attackers that Sevilla can come up with:
Papu Gomez (for the record I rate him a lot), Ocampos, Lamela
yikes
Zouma is reportedly in the swap deal, no comfirmation yet. He is not ideal, but not so bad, his market value is 32m.
Another bench player, he is physically dominating but we’ve already got Carlos for that. Sevilla are officially the trashcan for unwanted Premier League players.
I don’t want Zouma… Hope its the cash as well.
Before this summer started, I thought it was a guarantee that Kounde would leave. But recently, especially after Bryan Gil left, I thought he would stay. I got my hopes up for nothing
I think Kurt Kouma gets unfair criticism. He is a very good centre half and a good run of games he will be a good signing for a lot of teams.
I believe he would be a good signing and would probably find La Liga more comfortable.
If he ended up our way, I believe he’d be a good player for us.
I think the ACL injury really took a toll on him… he never got back to his prime level after that, and that’s sadly very normal in football nowadays. There are very very few players who make a strong comeback and get back on their peak level after a ligament problem. Breaking a bone is quite bad, but it doesn’t compare at all to having a ligament issue (sprain, tear etc.) because the ligament affects the whole joint stability and the recovery is much much difficult.
Anyway, this is not looking very good for us this transfer window and we can safely assume that we’re making backward steps. However, let’s see if Monchi can prove us wrong - the window is still open and there are still movements to be made. I’d never except to sell Kounde for such a low amount + an average player of Chelsea (whoever that might be) honestly… but time will tell.
By the end of last season I said that this summer’s transfer window will make or break our club… no good signs so far.
