Yup to me realistically there’s no way Kounde stays, If every big club in the world is after you, the worst thing we can do is hold him hostage and deny his dream move. Kounde has surpassed our level, if Kounde wants to stay, awesome. But we can’t keep forcing him to stay, ofcourse he’s a professional. But I think we need to accomodate to his wishes and if that’s 60m or 65m so be it. You don’t want an unmotivated Kounde and next year not get close to that amount.
How do you know it is his dream? We need to get past this type of thinking. We need to be the destination, not the transfer station. If it is his dream, buyout or nothing.
The goal would be to get guys like Kounde to WANT to stay but I hear he wants to move on. We should not be quick to sell for low. However, if a reasonable offer of €65ish million comes in and he is dead set on leaving, we sell or we risk locker room problems. Imo in this sport, when a guy wants to go, you take the max offer and move on. Incomes are down a ton. I don’t see €80 million but I’d ask for it.
Just be realistic. The personal and sporting offers top teams can give we can not match. Noble but you are not gonna stop an ambitious 22 yr old guy from reaching the top football has to offer, just for our beloved Sevilla.
Sell for no less than 70m euro, asking price should be 80m
PSG set price on Sarabia, it’s 15m €.
Buy at €15 imo
Get Sarabia back please. He can score unlike our Suso. Loved his intelligence on the pitch.
Where do you guys see him playing, in creating midfield position in front of Papu or on winger position in front of Suso? I expect a lot from Papu next season, so for me is in the Suso position.
Luuk de Jong might go back to where he came from PSV eindhoven. He’s on his way out. So we can step up our frontline. Still pointing towards Azmoun.
Is it too ambitious to wonder whether he can be part of a deal that gets Donyell Malen to Sevilla?
Also, Dmitrović was in Sevilla today to complete his medical. Deal won’t be official until after June 30th when his current Eibar contract runs out.
Besides that, i’m seeing more Guedes talk, and Javi Galán being available for €4M, instead of €8M due to Huesca’s relegation.
That is a steal. He would be a solid backup, doubtful, but maybe he could even provide some real competition with Acuña.
He’s a decent player but we shouldn’t spend anymore than 15-20 million, especially when Valencia want 40m for him.
Reports are saying they’re asking 20-25m for Guedes, but Sevilla won’t offer more than 15-20m. But overall i’m still doubtful cause i’m less inclined to believe that Valencia will do business with us.
Speaking of Guedes, Wolves are also interested and could try to add Rafa Mir to the deal, which in the end could be a lose/lose situation for us
Would they really be hesitant to deal with Sevilla? I get the sense that Lim will do business with just about anyone as long as the price is right.
That whole thing about Sevilla being a direct rival. They’ll gladly sell to Atléti or Villarreal, but not to Sevilla. I’m guessing that sentiment is more fan driven, but we actually haven’t done business with them from what i can remember.
It does seem to be the case although they picked up Kondogbia and Gameiro second hand. It brings to mind the hostile postures of some other clubs who steal our players so that we have to continually mine new diamonds. It’s like they don’t realise we are happy to sell to grow and we have a certain Mr Monchi, the best in the business. LOL.
Heres a strange one, Gianluigi Buffon.
- Benfica have launched an audacious bid to sign Gianluigi Buffon, according to Portuguese title A Bola. The 43-year-old’s contract at Juventus runs out next month and Benfica are keen to sign him to help them resume their bid for the title after they lost out to Sporting this campaign. Sevilla and Olympiakos have also expressed an interest in the World Cup winner, and Buffon as admitted he’s looking for a “stimulating and crazy” option to finish his career.
I do not doubt his historical quality, arguably the greatest goalkeeper of all time, but is Sevilla really the best option for him? He’s 43, not 27.
I’d take him as a third keeper with lower salary if that’s ok with him
