Summer 2021 Sevilla Transfer Rumours etc

But can he do it on a cold, wet night in Stoke?

For me Rakitic is not the answer and Fernando turns 34 soon. I don’t want to roll into next season relying on each of them as top choice. Also a starting quality RB is absolutely needed as Navas could pick up a nick and never get back to top level. That’s my ā€œneedsā€ not considering potentially replacing departures. As of today my realistic ideal upgrades are Torreira and Sarabia in the MF. Not sure about RB.

We could always start JordĆ”n ahead of Rakitić. I agree Fernando’s backup should be of Torreira’s quality, maybe even a similar profile — agressive DM, with an engine & a great passer. And as long as Navas’ stand-in isn’t injury prone, we should be good. :relieved:

Monchi rumoured to put priority on a georgian talented playmaker. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, 20 year old from Rubin Kazan. Price between 15-20 million. Strangely without actually knowing the guy, this could be the gem we need. Just a feeling I have.

What’s the deal with us and ā€œKā€ players?! :joy:

Has to be a factor in their data indeed. Commentators can prepare for that one. Zeki Celik passes to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

I don’t want to try and pronounce that in the podcast. haha

Escudero is officially leaving, he wrote an emotional post on instagram. Great servant to the club, always gave everything, but it was time to go for him.

I know there Vaclik and Mudo have a presser tomorrow to say goodbye. I’m wondering if Escudero joins them?

”GRACIAS @sevillafc !

It is time to close the most wonderful stage of my sports career.
The time has come to say goodbye. With a heavy heart and tears in my eyes, I write these lines, in which it is impossible for me to express everything I feel.
I have a lot to thank, Sevillismo, the entity and all who make it up, my colleagues who throughout these six years have been many and all those who have accompanied me in these seasons; Thank you for your support and for making me feel like I was in the best club in the world.
It’s hard to leave where you consider your home to be and close such an incredible stage, but football is like that.
I go away calm, with the feeling that I always offered my best.
I have fought with pride for what I consider to be my shield and right now as one more sevillista, I will follow you and always carry it in my heart.
THANK YOU @sevillafc!

I’ll be sad to see Vaclik go. He was so solid for us in his first few years. Wasn’t the same after he came back from his latest injury though. Always seemed like a class act off the pitch though. I’ll definitely be following him at his next stop.

Realistically, how much do you think we can get for Kounde? I’ve seen articles from the stupid English press saying he’ll go for 57m euro. I sure hope thats not true, I feel like we should be able to get at least 70m, but I want to know your thoughts on all this.

HAHAHAHAHAHA

There’s no way we sell for 50 to a team like Arsenal. Not when we reportedly turned down 80 last summer.

That article says Ā£50m not euro. That’s €58m. No way I’d accept that right now and no way Kroenke would spend that.

I think if we can hold out for about 60 million that would be fantastic. There’s a lot we could do with all that money to strengthen squad in different positions.

Honestly, I don’t think we should sell at all. He’s a staple of our back line.

We will see what happens. All I know it’s been a big policy of ours to get players cheaper then make them much better then sell them on for a bigger profit. I agree they need to match the asking price but if they do then sell. It depends where Monchi and the club have kounde for a price tag. I heard it could be between 50M to 60M.

I definitely think Kounde price tags is more than YEN though. I think 50M for YEN is about right. For Kounde you could be right in terms of upwards towards 70M but monchi could settle for less. No doubt we will have irons in the fire to replace the players we lose.

I know what you saying. We all would love to keep him as he’s a great player. However, every player has his price. If a Man City come in and offer 65M I think we’d accept. That kind of money is still so valuable to us and we can do a lot with it in a few positions of our squad.

I personally think Kounde is gone this summer. But as Jim said…
