Summer 2020 Sevilla FC Transfer Rumours

Is it still 23 players in the squad or?

hmm Rekik, a name last heard in Manchester City’s youth squads, to be honest I didn’t even consider him but Monchi should know enough about him in order to sanction a move. He is left footed so it gives tactical flexibility to Lope, if he can perform his role of backing up Kounde in lesser games or Diego Carlos when he’s become a headcase I’ll be fine, at 25 he can still learn how to be a dependable performer and anything below 10m in today’s market is a bargain. Hertha have become rich through a change in ownership so I guess they aren’t in for the money or simply don’t rate him?

Idrissi… like you guys said - better than what Suso brings at a cheaper price is a plus. And we’re keeping Carlos Fernandez so I’ll take it, but are there really no serviceable right backs out there? A soon-to-be 35 year old Navas should not be playing almost 100 minutes of professional football every week.

We are linked with Maxi Gomez and Dani Alves (1+1 contract) in the last day of the summer transfer window. Both are very welcomed in the team, although signing or loaning in Maxi Gomez means that CF is gone. Dani Alves would provide the much needed relief for Navas since we are not counting on Pozo nor Aleix Vidal. Let’s see what happens!

If we were in Uefa the rules stipulate(d) a certain quantity of home grown players and Spanish nationals I only see Navas, Pozo and Carlos F. from the cantera. Looks like another effect of being in Champions.

What’s the latest on Gagnon?

Pozo loaned out to Eibar. There’s one move.

And now also Bryan Gil to Eibar.

And are we seriously in for Dani Alves?!

I just check transfermarkt, Monchi spend €56M net this summer til this moment (including Idrissi).
It seems unreal to me especially it’s COVID year.
My knowledge still stops at Monchi needs to balance the book every summer, that’s a thing in the past now?

Isn“t Maxi Gomez more a rumor from the past, or maybe it“s back. But if its him would be a good starter number 9. Willian José wouldn“t be my choice.

Southampton is willing to let Boufal go for cheap. I wonder why Monchi haven’t go for him. He’s a Moroccan!

As for Maxi Gomez, I don’t believe we can afford a 30-40M signing (which will sum up to nearly 100M net spend)

I agree 100%, Cadiz look like they might suffer while Eibar is the better destination and should be mid-table. Both go with no option to buy.

There are still a few to move before midnight including Gnasher Gnagnon.

Re: Maxi G. and Dani Alves, Yeh, I’ll go for that.

I would like Maxi but do we need him now De Jong has picked it up abit. Saying that right now I would take a few decent signing just to make the squad stronger.

Don’t want Gomez or Jose. We have 4 strikers, and neither of the those 2 are prolific.

I don’t think anyone is likely to faint with over-excitement at Gómez but he’s still young and Monchi …

Let’s see the price and details.

See I am/would be if it happend. Out of most the realistic names we’ve been linked with. This is one that I rate. Always impressed me at Celta with a good enough record. He’s been good at valencia in a team that in my opinion didn’t suit him.

With De Jong I’m unsure weather we need him. With others maybe deserving a chance first. How ever he fits the big target man that we seem to want. To me, he would be an excellent addition to the squad and help us challenge in all competitions. With the likes of Navas and Co he could score a fair few goals. If he signs of course.

Would this indicate that we won’t be signing any other striker than. He does deserve a chance.

Correct. In the Idrissi & Rekik presentation, Monchi has declared the squad is complete, except for a few exits (Amadou, Gnagnon). The Carlos-Willian swap won’t happen, and the Maxi rumour was just that, a rumour.

Roque Mesa had his contract rescinded and will join Valladolid. Also, it’s possible that Aleix Vidal might stay this season to fill the backup RB spot.

I’ma just wait till it hits midnight in Europe so i can actually believe what happened in this transfer window.

Happy that Pozo and Gil get loans to La Liga teams, they deserve first team minutes and can contribute right away, also glad that Pozo won’t be forced to be a right back.

Almost yelled no when I read the Fernandez - Jose rumours, the latter has never been prolific and the only striker I want from them is Isak, I’d gladly put Fernandez and money for Isak but fortunately it was just a rumor.

Knew Maxi Gomez was too good to be true, he would seriously take the squad to another level with a legit goal threat and buildup play. Was unsure if Valencia were really going to sell him given he played the full 90 against Betis or if Sevilla could throw out 40m at the end of the window. Still if Valencia are willing to keep him listed Sevilla could make a sneaky January move.

When Monchi says the squad is ā€œcompleteā€ I read it as all business is concluded especially as he has time to hold a presentation for Idrissi and Rekik instead of being on his phone to negotiate, really wanted Alves to come and give us the right flank of years past, now it’s just Navas and a worn out Vidal.

If we’d have the Aleix Vidal of 2014-15, we’d be jumping for joy. But this Aleix Vidal… not sure what to make of him really. He can’t go worse than he actually is right now, so he can only potentially surprise us for the good.
