Shaqiri is too full of himself, I don’t like his attitude in overall. Also I don’t think he would offer anything more than Suso in the pitch to be honest.
3 days left… the clock is ticking, a lot of work from Monchi to be done… unless he has decided to not do anything and keep the current squad. Not sure if that’s even possible without some departures, I don’t know anymore. We’re always late at these kind of things as a club.

Yes, he is mostly a bench warmer for Atletico and has likely forever lost his place in the NT (especially now turning 31). Plus he’s eternally not respected in Sevilla, nor has any emphasized respect in Atletico. Quite an achievement because of greed!

Lopetegui keeps mentioning that “Monchi knows what we need”, indicating at least 1 more signing. We have rescinded Corchia’s contract today after an agreement. Amadou seems to be on the way out on a loan, along with Carlos Fernandez who could be sold to Real Sociedad for 15 million. In that case, we might even go for 2 players, so let’s see. Still some work to do for Monchi, considering that we have also Mesa, Vidal, Pozo and Gnagnon to care about. Maybe even Bryan Gil, not sure.

I’m a bit sad, James Rodriguez playing like a monster, that we didn’t approach. Salary gap between him and Rakitic should have been doable however I shouldn’t talk like this. He will help Everton make a step towards top, just what we needed…

Bit late for that apology Vitolo, the club were willing to give you an extension and the captain’s armband and you ran off to Atletico at the first moment. Not classy, same could be said for Gameiro, both have seen their careers stall on the bench since then so there’s that.
If Monchi does know what Lope needs then hopefully that means signings, just that no names have been linked. Also thankful that Corchia has been let go, he’s not up to it and a club in France might give him a lifeline. Good to hear that CF is in the travelling squad but it only needs a couple of hours to get a transfer done. Still want to try using him in football manager so at least give us half of season to see what he’s made of please.
Marc Roca is close to Bayern for 15m, ugh. Perfectly in Sevilla’s price range but they aren’t looking to reinforce that area.

The Idrissi signing (€12m+3m) will be completed soon according to Marca.
I would only hope for another CB now. We got lucky with a thin squad last season. Things will intensify this time around.

My friend who follows more dutch football then I do, also doesn´t understand the Idrissi buy. I said this before, if you go for dutch league players you have to go for the very best. But if this is what we can get, I guess so be it.
Hopefully Idrissi can grow into a usefull player tho. AZ got a good deal out of it.
Just hope it´s not the signal that Ocampos is leaving.

It wouldn’t make much sense for Ocampos to leave now, but you never know as it’s Sevilla, weird things happen.
Idrissi has a lot of potential to grow and will most likely adapt quickly because of his Moroccan compatriots in the club. As long as he’s just a bit better than Suso, it’s ok.

Starting a Dutch Colony, Monchi on a new path. Rekik came from the youth of Man City and then came also to the Eredivisie to PSV. I liked him as a young player, he was talented for sure. Played like a experience defender eventho his age at the time. Might have been around 18, which was insane. He made some slip ups every now and then. My friend is an avid PSV supporter will talk with him about it see what he feels about it. Even played for the Dutch national team a bit. But then went off radar and for me as well. But I do believe Jim he is doing respectable in the Bundesliga.

About Rekik my friend said, its not of the level that Sevilla should strive for, neither is right now. As a starter, would be useless. As a back up, it’s acceptable. Worries me a bit but not too much. For a 25 year old player he is so far ahead experience wise. I believe he can still grow a bit more if we teach him well.

Idrissi and Rekik are already in Seville, ready to sign the contracts. It seems that these two will be the last signings until at least 4th of January when the next transfer window opens.
Not signing another striker could be a sign that we’re keeping Carlos Fernandez. Also, we haven’t signed another RB so we are keeping either Pozo or Vidal. Now Monchi will have to sell and/or loan out the unwanted players. I think they will be Gnagnon (clearly), Mesa (may be sold to Cadiz), Amadou (close to be loaned out to Brest), one of Pozo/Vidal (not sure where). Not sure what will happen to Gil… he might stay perhaps.
