I hope he’ll turn out to be a decent addition.
Do we have another RB to rest Navas?
Also, still unclear situation in the strikers department. These things need to be addressed ASAP as the transfer window closes in 2.5 weeks.

I agree Ed, for sure Carlos Fernandez as the most versatile striker up front as first choice, then weather we need the extra battering ram (de Jong) and the speed and space in the depth (Nesyri) as changes.
Solid team, just lacking a bit of the real spice and maybe not the best 2nd player coverage, except in midfield its overloaded.
this is ofcourse if CF stays. I feel 50/50 that he stays.
Maybe from the youth, i think the one some guys here have been talking about was close to the first team, but is also a leftback bit weird. I think it was Pablo Perez. Not a bad idea, but a bit thin at the back if things go ugly this season.
Is there any chance we keep Corchia or Aleix Vidal? Both can play at RB and we could use them to rest Navas this season in lesser important matches or when injured (fingers crossed that he won’t) and/or suspended. Vidal can play as right winger as well, while there is also Pozo. We’ll probably keep Bryan Gil but you never know. Very tough decisions for Monchi.
P.S. Not sure if Amadou and Mesa can stay in this already overloaded midfield. Mudo might leave as well (rumored to Lazio lately, but 3 mill difference in asking price).
Pfff yeh tough although if we are looking at the future, holding any of them won´t be the right idea. Aleix Vidal is serviceable and in a good team, for sure he can keep up and be useful. I Hope for us and for Corchia that he finds a club in France so he can return, would be very surprised if we end up playing with him as back up.
Glad we got Acuna, not my first choice but at least that’s the starting leftback solved. With a number of players unlikely to play a part Monchi will probably try to offload most of them and gather some funds for maybe one more signing in the last 2-3 weeks.
Corchia was pretty bad in his first season here and has been on loan since, probably listed but not a lot of clubs are interested. Vidal was also pretty underwhelming after coming back from Barca, may be held on as backup and cover at most before a replacement can be found.
Don’t think both Amadou and Mesa will be retained, one tops as cover for Jordan and Fernando/Gudelj. Pozo and Gil will benefit from another loan, Sevilla can’t guarantee them consistent playing time in their preferred position. I read that Jose Lara has been loaned to Depor, he’ll get first team opportunities but in Segunda Division B, the third tier of Spanish football.
You’re right but personally I’d like Pozo to stay and give Navas a break but Gil is fired up for another year on loan where he’ll be playing most every week, ideally that would be in the top flight with Cadiz.
And Carlos Alvarez is in the pre-season group, barely 18 but Lope likes him.
He looks like a football genius, he wouldn’t get away with the dribbling at the top level but his passes are dynamite.
Depends on how the club sees Pozo as, an out-and-out winger/playmaker on the wing or the next complete fullback in the making. If he stays he’s under the wing and tutelage of Navas so that can only help him, the only problem is match time. It could also hang on whether Vidal could be moved on or not, Pozo is one of the better academy graduates in the past 5-8 years alongside Gil so the club have to get it right.
Another tricky winger in the wings? Sevilla do have a thing when it comes to nurturing wingers and attacking midfielders. Hopefully there’s a first-team center back there somewhere, Amos and Puerto did not cut it.
Bad luck for Reguilon. Due to the circumstances (not his fault), he will most likely end in a weaker club than Sevilla, Tottenham. What a shame.
I’m smelling something in this has to do with Bale as well. Real so desperate to lose him, and nobody wants to pick him up, so spurs does it in the end under circumstances plus the deal with Reguilon
Spurs have a squad good enough to challenge for trophies, but dem boys too soft!
Best of luck to Regui! Him & Son will make a chaotic left flank.
There is still rumours about Jesus Corona that he’s the last part of Lope his plan. If we get him I’m gonna be super hyped. He is also the perfect player for a 3-4-1-2 or any 3 back formation on the wing. It will give so many options.
I really like this formation because of the easier connections it makes for the wingers to connect with either Jordan, Rakitic in the central field as well as the attacking midfielder behind the strikers. It´s such a dominant formation for possesion and surrounding enemies on their side of the pitch, while having a solid 3 back behind against quick counter attacks. So i´m really liking this. We might even have Carlos Fernandez as the perfect second striker and de Jong as the bomber. Could be a great duo now I start thinking about it.
One thing that has to happen, one or more sales. His price is around 25m maybe we get it to 20m. We offered 18m in the past. But they held onto 30m. If we can sell our players without future and get to that sum for Corona. We are set to reck havoc.
Ofcourse we have Navas and our new Acuña could be offering other options or more defensive ones. But I went aggro on this one. Or Carlos central and Acuña left central possibly. Many many options.
We are going after Ze Luis, and so is Celta Vigo. I have no doubt that we’ll win that battle vs. Celta, but do we really need a slight upgrade of En Nesyri for around 20 million? I don’t know if Ze Luis is the missing piece of the puzzle in our attack, and that would mean Carlos Fernandez has to go… or maybe En Nesyri?
Not sure what to make of this.
Not sure I believe that one.
Good technically, but i don’t get the hype over Puig. He’ll get eaten alive playing in midfield with that frame.
City reportedly offered 55 million and Ottamendi for Kounde. Not sure if we have rejected this offer or it is the second one from them, as we have rejected one of their offers.
We shouldn’t let Kounde go at all costs I think.
6th of October seems too far.
I don’t want to lose him. But if we will get a big fee plus ottamendi then it would be a great deal. I do rate him as a centre half and would be a great partner for Carlos.
Otamendi could go kick rocks. Pay the clause or nada.
