Summer 2020 Sevilla FC Transfer Rumours

Many sources pointing to a departure of Jules Koundé guys… Looks like Man City is gonna come through. Will be a big big Deal maybe around 70m.

Huge impact on us, since Koundé great footballer quick, amazing jumping and dueling complements so well on Diego Carlos the wall, the killer. Whst makes a good central duo. Hope we can find something that fits well as a replacement :pray:t2:

I thought his declarations of this week made it clear he didn’t want to leave this year ?

True, but in football anything can change within a day really. Sometimes the stuff going on behind the scenes the public will never know or a phone call or whatever things change quick and if City ups by 20m or whatever things start to roll a different direction.

Hard to turn down the money that is going to be offered to him. This really sucks for Sevilla and takes the wind out of our sails. The kid is super talented and has some of the best instincts I have seen.

We will be getting good money for him though. Think of the players we can get with that money. Plus will leave us good financially. It’s a blow but we can’t turn down that offer. Money bags city have the money to get kounde!

Life goes on and we still in good shape and have a strong squad.

Argh fk, come on, Man C just can’t keep their hands off can they? The perfect partner to cover Diego Carlos and he’s gone after 1 season. I want nothing less than the clause - screw Otamendi, he’s 32 and just as aggressive as Carlos in rushing out. To take on their deadwood is akin to us throwing Mesa and Corchia along with cash for Laporte.

Was about to point out that the first 11 is top four worthy but the depth is lacking, the window is about to close and the only backup for the center backs is Sergi Gomez who was pretty atrocious in the pre-season games while Gnagnon is frozen out.

I expect Escudero to stay on as backup LB but they might give the Cantera a chance behind Acuna, it’s the right back back up that is still up in the air. To lose Kounde at this stage is back-breaking, that means the team needs to find 1 if not 2 serviceable centre backs in 2 weeks, even with about 100m in the coffers who do we go for, Coulibaly?

That is what is so scary. No time to develop chemistry. We have very important matches in the beginning of the season. I don’t like this at all.

Oh and I think Pozo is gonna be our backup right back. At least until January.

What Tim said. I don’t think Kounde is going anywhere. Sevilla clearly said no.

If we sell Kounde, things will surely not be the same for the new season. It will be difficult, if nearly impossible to replace Kounde at this time. Ottamendi is totally crap compared to Kounde… even Diego Carlos is much better than him, plus he’s 32 already, not worth it.

Atletico Madrid had countless offers for their players in 2012-13, but they held on to them stoically, so that they could go on to win La Liga in 2013-14. A serious and top team can only be such if star players are kept.

If the deal would have been Diego Carlos to City for cash and Ottamendi, that would be ok, as Ottamendi could replace Diego Carlos for around 2 years. But Kounde… it’s a different breed.

It will be a total shame if we let him go.

It’s not true Jim.

City made an offer and we refused. If they come back with an amount near the clause Sevilla might consider. But we’re not as desperate to make a huge sale this time around.

Kounde also knows that staying 1 more year is better for his development. He’s a young lad. The suitors will always be there.

It’s probably all agent talk. I also never understood a player agreeing terms with another club before the teams have even agreed.

I’m of the opinion that it’s just invented news about Koundé because the transfer market is ghostly quiet. But who knows, it could be a hard bargaining strategy by Sevilla.

Another matter is that these traditional August/September mass squad changes have cost us various super-copas.

When Sergio Ramos went to Real Madrid we had 20 minutes to do the faxes and paperwork to sign Dragutinovic !

I don’t care what the fee is, I’d want Kounde to stay.

If it’s 70m though, I have a hard time believing that Sevilla are in a position to turn down that kind of offer.

Time will tell, I guess.

I don’t for a second believe that he’s agreed a contract. I do however believe that City will try and low ball and then be forced to act by paying the release clause, but even then the ball is in Sevilla’s court as Kounde has made it clear he won’t leave unless he’s asked to.

My reasoning is that Real Madrid already inquired so Jules has it in his mind that they might be interested next season. He’ll refine his game here instead of people doubting his talent like they’re doing to Militão right now.

Not much news after the alleged transfer bid by Man C, the club would rather focus on the Supercup match with Bayern before doing any last deals. Thankfully that will be end of Deulofeu rumours, I’d rather have a go at Machis, guy’s already got a goal and assist in two matches.

These last two weeks may decide if Gnagnon is part of the squad’s plans going forward. I’ve read Lope and co. regard him as overweight and lacking match fitness, understandable given football in France stopped nearly 6 months ago. Now he has to prove his fitness. Corchia has been given no.2 which means he would play while Amadou, Mesa and Vidal along with Gnagnon have not been assigned squad numbers, no.4 and no.23 are still vacant so two of the four may stay or new signings may be mooted.

We’re linked with Wesley Fofana of Saint-Etienne to replace Kounde if he leaves for Man City.

Lopetegui asked for additional signings according to some reports. I think with the strive to compete in all three competitions, he is looking for some more depth.
