Summer 2020 Sevilla FC Transfer Rumours

Suso already doesn’t track that well back in the defense. The least we’d want is another winger that doesn’t track back on defense, at all, and has a poor work rate. Some things never change, like Adama Traore being a crap footballer despite the pumped up body :stuck_out_tongue:

So no Deulofeu please Monchi!

Partly agree but if Lope is for it, maybe coz he knows him from the youth and has a very strong believe in him. A figure like that can make change in a person. he might get to deulofue on a personal level after which he makes a 180 degree mental switch and gives him self with full dedication? He is just 26 still. But at first I am not per se for us buying Deulofeu. But I want to see the sign and banners you make in the streets of Nervión when he comes

Hell yeah Deulo! Come back to Sevilla!

The contracts of Navas, Escudero, Vaclik, Roque Mesa, Corchia and Mudo will expire at the end of 2020-21 season.

Beside Navas that we should extend at least 2 years at all costs (perhaps 2 + 1 optional would be ideal) and maybe Escudero to some extent, I wouldn’t extend anyone else’s contract. We can get a better keeper than Vaclik next season as we already have Bono as first choice (most likely). While Mudo, Mesa, Corchia have nothing more to offer here I think. Mudo is not a bad sub choice, but he’ll definitely want more playing time and it will be hard to get it in this system when you need to be very agile and run a lot throughout the match, which is not something that Mudo is capable of doing. Plus the competition in the midfield is fierce this season, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he leaves during this transfer window, so that we can cash something out of him.

Escudero still has one more year left. There was a rumour during the season that he would leave to Getafe for free, but it was refuted by the club. But i’m pretty sure his time is up here, judging from the lack of minutes he was getting towards the end.

I’m 50-50 about Deulofeu. I like the prospect of the player, but mentally, as Shend was alluding to, i don’t trust him. But Enrico said it though, maybe Lope could change all that in him.

Something Monchi stated in his last interview, considering new additions. Sevilla is financially stable, but they want to keep it like that. By having spend already about 40m, on Suso (obligatory), Oscar Rodriguez, Rakitic and Bono. Meanwhile not having sold much, i think its waiting for a big sale or otherwise it might be some loan deals to fill some positions.

A lot of movement for Carlos Fernandez, we will have to wait. But for now he is part of the team.

Gnagnon as well, but depending on Lope his opinion he will have to convince him to be deserving of the spot or back up spot. But since Carlos is still here, he will have to accept being a back up like Sergi Gomez is maximum for now.

They haven’t made offers to neither Porto or Lisbon, and the fight for Reguilon is tough but it he seems priority which is why we don’t commit to a lb until Reguilon and Real has made a decision. because with Sergio we know what we get, and we like that a whole lot.

I’d keep both Gnagnon and Carlos Fernandez, sign or loan a decent LB and that’s it.

Yeah I’d be happy with that too!

Carlos Fernandez has a role to play, his playstyle is different from Luuk or YEN so he could really mix it up, besides his technical ability and composure is better than YEN while mobility and finishing is better than non-big-game De Jong. Let him stay for half a season at least.

Gnagnon is on the books anyhow so I’m comfortable with him as a backup, not as a starter. He’s not as mobile or physically aggressive as Carlos which is the type of partner Kounde needs. With a limited number of serviceable center backs on the market Gnagnon and Gomez would fit the backup spots well and play limited minutes to see games out and let the starters have a rest for cup matches.

I’m expecting Mudo to leave, guy is past 30 and wants to head back to Italy, could be used as makeweight to get us Pulgar or to get better relationships with Italian clubs. Mesa is a question of fit, he probably can’t do the passing and playmaking of Rakitic or the attacking runs of Torres or Oscar, while being physically limited to do the Fernando role, best case is he comes on late in games to add a burst of energy and pace to the midfield, most likely for Jordan. Mesa’s workrate is one of his selling points so he can contribute in a limited role, nothing more.

Deulofeu is a no from me. He’s been a professional for close to 10 years and is still inconsistent and doesn’t put in 100% for the team, he’s flunked at Barca and Milan so Watford gave him a go. As Watford’s main piece he is still found wanting though his second season was half decent and injuries cut short his third. His asking price is also high, 18-20m is not what I want to pay for a backup to 20m Suso. That sum could better be spent on fullbacks.

Which brings me to fullbacks, thank god we didn’t go for 35 year old Kolarov who’s gone to Inter for 1m. Reguilon is down to whether Man Utd want to give up on Luke Shaw so Sevilla are not in the driving seat. Could they try for Estupinan? He’s back at Watford who need to shed players for the Championship.

Estupiñan would be legendary to get.

I can’t get why we skip this transfer window without acquiring a decent striker. We have wasted 40 million Euros for Rony Lopes and Suso, with which we could have bought a striker who can get us 20 goals each season.

I mean we have such a quality in midfield, yet such quality doesn’t match with what we have up front.

Yep we need a top striker if we want to win la liga. I feel it’s the last piece of the jigsaw puzzle we need. Once we get the full backs position sorted then if we could get a 20 goal striker then we could win la liga.

Without that though we will fall short again.

A decent striker (read: top finisher) is definitely needed, but Monchi unfortunately didn’t give any signal that we’re going for another striker. We might if Carlos Fernandez departs, but so far no.

I’m guessing he’s focusing on the players that are leaving so he can trim the squad down.

Max Clark of Vitesse a new rumor for the LB position.

Let’s forget about deulofeu and use our striker Carlos Fernandez. He is the reason why Granada was able to make it into the European places. He is a benzema-isque striker, with good height and deadly finishing touches. He is more mobile than our current fwd De jong

Hmm, not sure what to make of this.

It’s been a rumor since before the season ended. I don’t see us paying his high wages for a position where we have a guaranteed starter. I don’t think he plays on the left does he?

Dont see that one happeneding. I believe he has played the odd game at left back but nothing you would want on a regular basis that’s for sure.

The wages means he’s a no go. Simple as that really.
