Summer 2020 Sevilla FC Transfer Rumours

Come one now Chris, tell the folks here that you are an undercover scout of Sevilla in the US:

With his mobility, he can provide cover for JordĆ”n’s B2B role. I doubt Roque remains in this squad, but who knows, maybe we keep him till January.

I once thought he was an amazing #6, but strangely seems too hotheaded now, which is the complete opposite of what you need for that role. Lowkey, he might be one of those players that only works well with certain managers. In this case, Setien. Klopp also has that same effect (Mhkitaryan, Coutinho).

Even though i live in these parts, i don’t watch the MLS. I don’t feel bad about this. :no_mouth:

Also, signing #4 is official.

Atlanta United paid 15m for him when he was 19. He hasn’t really established himself in the way that Almiron and Josef Martinez did.

The talent is there. He’s an attacking winger. Had a really nice stretch at the beginning of last season, but he’s inconsistent. He could grow into an excellent player, but he’s not there yet and Atlanta won’t sell him for a loss.

PSG sign Sergio Rico for €6m

I imagine football in the States sitting in the lift and levels getting higher but honestly it’s not the measure for improvements that we need in our team, with all due respect. I watched some clips to try to get to know Ezequiel Barco a bit, and from his clips, besides terrible defending, Martinez stole the show haha. I played a lot of career modes with Young Boys Bern, the team of my uncle and cousins when they came over to Holland. And remember Martinez and Gonzalez both from Venezuela. He was around 20 at the time, and had some potential but irl not the most promising career so far. Very few goals on the highest level. And if a player like that establishes himself in the states as a comparison, that should indicate something.

So if we want to look there, he has to be really, really special in my opinion and 15m is quite the sum.

If Marca is to be trusted Sevilla are looking to loan Reguilon again as they couldn’t afford Real’s 30m asking price. This time they want another loan with a 18-20m purchase option. With a lack of other suitors it seems Sevilla have a good chance at this, given Real were willing to let Ceballos leave on loan to Arsenal for a second season.

If he is not in Monchi’s plans then I hope Monchi has his eye on Owen Wijndal, 20 year old dutch left back from AZ Alkmaar who just made the dutch squad due to positive reviews from last season. In fact AZ has a pretty talented squad, Sevilla could make a few pickings.

Seems Man U are interested in a Reguilon purchase, but I think he ends up back in Sevilla. Let’s hope so.

I watch quite a bit of MLS and Barco is far too good for that league.

He’s a player who stands out a great deal and can make things happen but is reliant on those around him. As Atlanta have progressively worsened since Martinez’s injury, so has his impact.

He has really struggled since the lockdown and so have his team but that could also be put down to Koeman being out of favour and then sacked (only to stroll into a job at Barca, football is a funny ol’ game)

Personally I see a hell of a lot of ability and potential but I also see a player that doesn’t necessarily fit with Lopetegui, especially workrate wise.

He’d have to mature quickly, but if he did, he definitely has the ability.

Injured tonight. Not sure how serious yet or what that could mean for potential transfers.

I’ll just stick my hand in this fire … owww that hurt.

Oh look a fire, I wonder what will happen if I stick my hand in it?

Aimed at Marca by the way, not you.

Apparently he’ll be as good as new in about a week.

That could be enough to ward of suitors though. Could be a blessing in disguise.

Man United have been in pole position for Reguilón, as they could offer more to both Madrid & the player. But they’re also linked to Alex Telles from Porto, with A Bola saying his agent has travelled to England. Looks to be a red herring, but with Telles having 1 year left on his contract, i’m wondering why more clubs haven’t gone for him. Especially us!

That was @FC_Guapa.

I feel like fighting for Telles, will go over our head. Even though he has 1 year left, he is not to be picked up cheaply, and if there is a bit of competition we won’t be the ones to unnecessary up our bids… but if we can I would be down for it. Although I doubt it will happen.

Lope is looking to revamp, Deulofeu his career. He is not a lost cause. And it’s a good moment to catch him.

I like the aim for attacking diversity but the pain point is still the no.9 striker position. Patiently (anxiously) waiting :grimacing:

Ah that’s a bit of a shame, for him as well. From January onwards players in form are what is looked at. Coming off cold after an injury, is hard during mid season. Would be easier to get into a team in preseason for him 2022.

I’ll go to RSP to protest if we end up signing Deulofeu!
