I was unsure if he could play in Spain, as he had to leave Inter because Serie A don’t allow players to have defibrillators fitted, but Daley Blind has played with one, so I imagine it’s ok.

Reading up on him, he looks a decent player. Played regularly in the French league and for Fiorentina as well as making a few caps for Morocco and only 23. We definitely need something more in the midfield.
Just great to see that we’re actually getting some signings sorted as the fear was we wouldn’t.

If the squad loses Idumbo, Lukebakio & Vargas this late on in the window then it’s going to be near impossible for Almeyda to play an effective, wing-based attacking system.
Almeyda’s getting done dirty if these moves all go through..

I reckon Lukebakio is gone and would be very surprised if he is still lining up for us past the international break. Out of him, Vargas and Idumbo the latter is the one I want to keep but if balancing the books is the priority here there’s not much that can be done, the first two are near their peak value and Sevilla would make a profit so there’s that.
I think the main focus right now is to comply with FFP and find some bargains or free agents until the winter market or maybe even next season. I would really like another striker though, Akor Adams is currently leading the league in one category - offsides, which is infuriating. A 2nd option wouldn’t hurt, and Iheanacho is not one of them.
On the winger problem they might play some players who have not been effective centrally like Peque and even Romero if necessary, there’s also Ejuke, Alfon Gonzalez and the GOAT which is Januzaj.

We have to pray the players cordon signs can do enough to keep us up. It going to be difficult though. We have to hope for a bit of luck.
We linked with central midfielders and another defender not any wingers though. Let’s see.

Sadly I don’t think we can afford to keep him. Our financial state is that bad we need the sale. Hopefully cordon has a couple of decent players to come in to help us out.

I really liked Idumbo in this pre-season, but then he faded away in the first 2 matches in La Liga.
I’d say… good business with this fella, given the circumstances.

Never saw him play, but looks to be the profile that Almeyda needs.
Between him and Amir Richardson, I’d still pick Mendy.
However, liked the prospect of Claudio Gomes of Palermo too.

Yesssss, another 1.9m physical monster in the midfield. Time to bring back the giants in the middle of the park who can outjump and kick lumps out of the opposition.
Nah, get both. I want a repeat of the 15-16 squad where we had Nzonzi, Iborra and Krycho out there daring opponents to try anything, every team was afraid of that.

Ejuke is shit + very prone to injuries.
We basically have Alfon… and no one else as natural wingers to count on. Provided Vargas is leaving, and Juanlu as well. If we keep Juanlu by any chance, we still need 1-2 wingers to do something. We’re already selling Dodi, right?
