It seems that the other clubs are sniffing blood in the water like sharks.
They know we are in a dire financial situation and want to “help”, by helping themselves first of course.
This is business 101 and it’s all good. However, what is not good is that fucking Cordon hasn’t done his homework properly and now risks losing his best players after wonderful individual performances by them - having not planned the squad in advance.
We only really needed to sell the first teamers like Juanlu, Bade and some clowns like Januzaj, Mir etc. to get rid of the dead weight. Meanwhile, things got complicated and now we might need to sell Lukebakio, Agoume and the likes.
And how would you replace Lukebakio at this point of the transfer window, mr. Corndog? You can’t even get 50% of his caliber.
You won’t even be able to replace Agoume properly.

If we lose lukebakio, bade and agoume and don’t get anyone in even half as good you might as well put us in the segunda now.
The worrying thing is we slow to act. This could happen leaving us just 1 week to get players in. We still in debt, we struggle to attract players now and have a board who doesn’t care and happy to asset strip.
This will make them a lot richer and they’d all they care about now.

He still got time to work some magic, but from we are hearing it does not look good. We can judge the window when it is closed.
And to be fair, It must be extremely difficult working under these circumstances. He’s got no money and most likely every single club who wants to swipe a deal with us knows the financial shit we are in. For every day we are getting closer to deadline day the pressure on Cordon and the club increases. It would be foolish for any buyer not to take advantage of that. Cordon has to navigate in that extremely tight window where other clubs presses the trigger and he then is able to get some deals done.
I had hoped for more at this point, but I am still holding out hope for a couple of magic in these last couple of weeks.

And at the income level of last few seasons, we have no way of maintaining high paid deadwood like Marcao Januazaj Mir & Nianzou. My guess is we’re already burning money from the already empty bank account (150M as i remember).
“Cordon got no money” is a bit of optimism. I think his main target is to register all players while wait for panic buy from other club at late Aug so we can get as much money as possible (I think Cordon already mention “don’t expect any major move until late Aug” in early July)
Attracting players and complete the squad early doesn’t look like a reasonable strategy of us and most La Liga club that are in debt.
TLDR: just see sevilla as a bottom half club, it makes all the sense.

I hate to see Bade go, becuase I loved his enthusiasm and he was by far the most important defender we had. That’s really good business though. Bought for 12 million.

Looked like he said his goodbyes to the team in practice today. Sad scenes, but he deserves the chance to try something new and I hope he succeeds.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Sevilla are in talks with Nottingham Forest for Carmona. His release clause is €30 million, but I doubt they’ll be getting the full amount. You may remember Gonzalo Montiel had an unsuccessful time on loan at Forest from Sevilla.

Would obviously depend on how much they’re offering, but I’d gladly let them take a risk on him rather than us having to gamble with him all season.
