La Liga 2023-24 Season Thread

Valencia save us beating cadiz. Good job by them. I really hope it’s not the case of relying on this all season.

I hope we can pull away but despite how poor we are currently we are very fortunate that the 3 teams in the bottom 3 are pretty bad and weak. We might get lucky but I’d rather it didn’t come down to chance.

Got a bad feeling in my water, Cadiz gonna sneak a jammy 0-1 win. Dunno why but hope I’m wrong! Lol

Cagey affair between Alaves and Cadiz. Tense game!

Fascinating … I wonder if it’s just a coincidence… I feel like it could be, but also worth pondering is this (population graph for Andalucía incoming)

Andalucía has been a bit of an economic basketcase for years, or even generations.

Not sure if this would catch up with these teams all at the same time and all so suddenly… But anyhow, the bad economic setting of the region certainly doesn’t help the teams prosper…

Bad news for Sevilla, y’all:

Cádiz finally fired their manager… In other words, they’re about to start picking up points… Or at least, a new manager bounce, at a minimum.

Anyhow, Sevilla needs to hit the gas pedal urgently…

New manager bounce? What’s that? Did we do that 5 times in the last year too?

Imagine not winning anything against anybody, the dead last. Win against the richest of clubs. Please hold on Almería!

What a corrupt league. VAR and corrupt la liga officials bending over for Real Madrid as usual. It’s pathetic!

What happened?

You just need to watch this game to realise why these corrupt officials will never let another team when the league except their darling’s VArdrid and VARcelona.

Basically Almeria had a goal ruled out which should have stood, Real Madrid got a penalty they never should have got, plus madrids other goal was dodgy too.

They are an embarrassment and don’t try to hide it. It’s hard enough for the likes of Girona to beat Real Madrid to league never mind trying to do with all the help Perez and co get from officials.

Trust me Mark you don’t have to convince me. Seen enough to know this league is way beyond gone. Shame our club is bound to it.

I saw the Livescore board and I will look it back with the video. But what you telling me is about what I expected…

Yeah we all know what they like. It’s crazy but it’s just the way it is. Sad but the reality.

I was talking to Chris and Tyler the other day during Alaves match and we discussed Girona title challenge.

I said they have a good chance but unfortunately they won’t be allowed to win it. As it expected the la liga officials will step up as real Madrid’s 12th man to stop that! Lol

They did the same to us in 2007 to be fair. I remember many dodgy decisions that meant we dropped some points too.
