Europa League - Rd of 16 - Sevilla FC vs West Ham United 10-03-2022

Bloody hell, YEN. Being absolutely bossed and just being downright average.

Lope may have read my post and agreed
Hope he takes the worryingly disintegrating YEN off for Rafa Mir in the next 5 minutes…

Martial offering precisely nothing

Have to finish!!!

Luckily this French ref does not like WHam’s obvious dirty tactics for box play on set pieces/corners and is quite ready to pull them up for it. Hope he stays consistent with that.
We badly lack better quality in attack without Papu, Lamela, on-form Ocampos.
And Lope seems to just hope that YEN will come up with a decisive header or kick in the end, keeping him on far too long before giving up and sending Mir on.
Martial has been dire too here.

How i’d wish Oliver would click just a tiny bit more with his teammates. I really think his type of football is a fresh blow of air on this team, but it needs to be in-sync with the rest of the team and I just don’t think it is at most times.

Still no changes from Lope since 55th minute. Ridiculous and bizarre.

What is he waiting for? Our attackers are gassed and can’t track back to defend.

When your backs are bombarding the first post, but all of your attackers are waiting at the second post.

Nothing to be positive about here, literally. I’m trying too hard to find a glimpse of positivity but the reality is getting in the way and preventing me to do so. I’m very glad for those that can find something positive about this pathetic performance tonight, and be optimistic for the future… it takes a lot of intuition for this. I would call you delusional, but who am I to know?

I don’t see the point in going through, sure it will be a good feeling for the moment but then…

Better to get out and focus in the league where it matters, top 4 is still not guaranteed.

Not a single shot on goal in second half.
You really can’t argue with the frustration towards how this team play under Lope.

I really don’t get the gameplan. I mean, I think I know what we were trying to do, but I don’t get it…

My nerves can’t take this. Won’t even be able to watch pens if it goes that far…

Well as usual we have to suffer the hard way. This isn’t good for our la liga match this Sunday either.

West Ham ran out of steam a bit which helped us settle as the half progressed. We defended well but overall we just not taking any risks. We are frightened to go for it and try win the tie overall. We have to show more. We can’t rely on keeping them out and winning on lottery pens.

Let’s see what happens.

On another note, why the fuck??? is the genius keeping the totally impotent YEN out there still. Is Mir injured or what?

Also with each match I’m starting to believe that Martial came for a vacation after all. It’s his career at steak so I hope the guys knows what he’s doing. Totally passionless, no initiative or anything from the guy… how come?

I hope he’ll prove me wrong but so far after returning from injury he’s been abysmal. There’s also not many matches left if we go out tonight, so not sure what he’s waiting for, if he still has some tricks up his sleeves.

Let’s see who wins the game and if it goes against we can pile in with the critic.

Tim it’s West Ham mate… I’m really trying to remain optimistic about this but it’s too hard. Our colleagues have done much harder jobs against Man Utd and Juventus in mid-week… it’s West Ham ffs.

I’m sorry if I’m being too negative but really, I’m not saying anything that hasn’t been said so far… just overall frustration and I really can’t even see that light at the end of the tunnel with this coach.

For some reason I feel really relaxed. Normally I am nervous as hell during extra time. So I believe we’ll win

Me too. For me we deserve to be out after the FT performance in overall, so if we go through somehow it’s just a bonus, it’s welcomed.
