Uruguay Argentina was a somewhat disappointing match. Uruguay completely lack an advanced Mid fielder who can dribble near or in the box and create chances. All of Valverde, Torreira, Bentancur, Vecino are either deeper lying players or prefer to play wider. Then they just had to rely on crosses to create chances and Argentina new what was coming.

Germany look irresistable so maybe Portugal can’t handle the speed or they just have something basic wrong with their tactics. A lot can change in the second half though.

Starting with Gerard Moreno is atleast helping. At this point i´m just hoping they can grow into the tournament. Hopefully when Busquets returns, his smartness will help build some structure in the useless possesion, and bring some directness. Still they are missing a good number 10 to utilize the small spaces. Despite him scoring, I would swap him with Moreno and Ferran on the right.
