Morata, how is this guy rated as a top striker? I can take Gerard missing the penalty. But the way Morata attempts that rebound is just God awful

I won’t blame morata on that. Moreno is the one who hit the post. Maybe shouldn’t take the Pk after getting your ankle rolled, though.

Ofcourse Moreno is to blame for the penalty. It his the post. Okay terrible, the ball comes straight to Morata. Focus on that ball and the way he mis hits that thing is horrific. You have to name it for the instance it is. Not say, well Moreno missed the penalty, so Morata his mis is fine. Messi misses penalties, Ronaldo that happens, I can accept that. Then the second instance, Morata gets a good chance after but ruins it completely deserves blame as well. I hate Morata yes, but you can’t ignore that. Rafael van der Vaart analyzing for Dutch television stated it too.

And that too. I think everyone’s agreed that Morata is not up to the job. He does a lot of work off the ball but it doesn’t compensate for his failures. Wiith the penalty rebound you have to get your feet right to shoot straight and he didn’t do that.

Just found out this is going on… interesting.
As things stand, we won’t have Bono, YEN and Munir (if he stays) available for about 5-6 matches or so. Still not sure if only domestic league players will be called up, like in the African Nations Championship (different from African Cup of Nations, more like a second grade tournament), but let’s see.

Croatia showing up better today, but 80% is Scotland just being incapable… which is surprising since they held up better against England but maybe the that one took too much out of them. They did so well that game, can’t bring it up again, to gift Croatia their first win.
