Guess the player
No Idea. Could be Koundé?
Rekik?
Haha! My lurking is shameful. Just such a rarity to be able to watch these days… Every time I have, I’ve been rewarded by a squad that’s making some noise.
Totally. The poise is what’s jumped out at me the few times I’ve watched (so can’t say if that’s representative or not!).
Rakitic getting that goal was beautiful. I’ll try and come by more often, just been hard to watch!
Things are good on this end. Hope you’re doing well Shend!
My first thought apart from the blob in the opposing area where Koundé scored.
Those were my exact words when it happened.
Alba was obviously in the area when he backed into Suso, to be honest when I saw Lahoz run towards them I thought it would be to book Alba for trying to con the pen.
Couldn’t watch the game go to one of my own, but glad to see we got a 2-0 win!
I’m arguing with my Barça friend right now. Do we have a consensus that just because Rakitic played for Barcelona doesn’t mean he’s the best player at Sevilla right now? I mean Jordan, Navas, and Kounde not to mention YEN have all had better seasons then him, agreed?
I’m surprise Umtiti is starter, what a key player for our victory!
He gave the ball away a bit today, but was great at winning the ball back and the goal. He’s got his moments of wtf, but he’s been solid. Not the best player on the team by any means, but good.
Agreed with both you and Jim.
Rakitic is definitely far from being our best player, but he’s performing much better lately. I’d be happy if he could perform like how he did vs. Barca last night in every other match or so. Not sure he can though, and Oliver needs more minutes in general.
Oscar tested positive for covid19 on top of the injury. It seems that we won’t see him play for about 1 month at least.
That’s how you beat Barca, solid performance all around.
Everybody fought until the last minute.
Vidal just wasted some critical positions up front but he was fantastic at the back.
YEN did well but he lost the ball easily whenever he tries to dribble past the opponent.
LDJ collected long passes and distributed them to his teammates accurately, giving us a breathing space late at the game.
Fans welcome Sevilla to the stadium last night.
I said in the podcast that it was YEN on the dummy for Kounde’s goal, but it was actual Fernando. Missed that live.
He’ll infect everyone now
Barcelona put out a tweet earlier with a video clip of the Suso - Alba thing. Euan thinks they edited the clip to make it look worse than it was. (BTW, it wasn’t a penalty and shouldn’t have been a foul)
When I watched it live it was obvious that Alba backed into Suso and deserved a yellow for trying to con the ref into giving a pen.
