That’s exactly as I saw it.
Ik I’m late to the party, but the thing that I really love about Sevilla is Boris Notre. Imo, the best ultras in Spain, but I may be biased
Also, Suso’s Twitter response to Pedri’s claims on the penalty is golden
It seems that the tables have turned on this one. We were the ones getting dominated and beaten while complaining about a penalty here and there, referee decisions etc.
While it is absolutely true that Barca and RM were (and still are, especially RM) favored from the referees and thus damaged their opponents with biased decisions, this particular case was not a penalty in a million years. The only mistake from the referee here is that he gave a foul for it, which it isn’t a foul technically because it was very obvious that Alba’s only intention was to get a penalty there, so the ref should’ve booked him with a yellow and not given the foul. It had elements of offensive foul as well from Alba. Now would some other RFEF puppet give it against us? Sure, as many many others before this and other stupid decisions. But the truth is, this was not a penalty fair and square, as it was not a foul to begin with.
Any competent ref that is not controlled by RFEF would not have given it, as it also created a danger since the foul was just outside the box in a good crossing position. So we were ultimately the damaged ones here. So Barca and their fans and their management can only cry about it and try to play some proper football other than having Dembele running up and down the flank like Usain Bolt without purpose and passing it to Messi.
We won fair and square and the 2-0 was a deserved result. They only had 1 great chance and that was Messi in the beginning where Bono saved it, that’s it. Those free kicks and silly shots are half-chances that sometimes convert but often don’t. Only Escudero’s chance beats all of their other mini-chances.
[quote="SurreySevilla, Just seen Ter Stegen arguing with the Ball “boy”. [/quote]
Ter Stegen is a pussy cat. The kid will be ok.
A gang of us used wait outside the players entrance on match days at Bramall lane hoping to be chosen as ball boys back when the ground only had 3 sides
I was once given a right bollocking by Frank McLintock, who was the Arsenal Captain at the time for not running fast enough across the cricket pitch to return the ball for an Arsenal throw in.
(United were holding on to a 1-0 lead at the time.)
Now that was scary.
Sorry for that traumatic experience
Thief!
If it was televised it might turn up on youtube !
I remember there was only one match ball in the 1960’s and if the ball wasn’t returned or landed on the stand roof it was a ten minute wait for a replacement to get to the pitch. I saw the Owls beat Leeds at Elland road and with a few minutes left everyone went up the pitch for a free-kick. But Eustace launched the ball over the shed and completely out of the ground. ![]()
