It´s just part 1, but oh does it feel good to beat those blaugrana bastards. However, it is not meaningfull if we don´t pull this through to the 2nd leg. I doubted for a minute when we put de Jong and Rekik in and we let it slip for a bit but it didn´t matter and good ol´ Rakitic with the deadkiss this game, sweet stuff. On to the next one! Least inspiring and insecure Barça i´ve seen in a long time tho.

Awesome performance and a pretty good result. There’s still unfinished business as we’ll play them again in 3 weeks in Camp Nou. We have some bad memories when we were winning vs. Barca in first legs at home only to be demolished in the second legs. But we have a more serious team this season, at least I’d like to think so, add to that our great recent form and we’re still the favorites to reach the final.
Suso quite disappointing tonight, not sure what happened to him and he almost gave them a penalty there fouling Alba.
Otherwise everyone else was compact and played well. Bono and Kounde the heroes - Papu, Rakitic and Oliver the vice-heroes

I was worried about Escudero there and was not sure why Lope subbed him, but it seemed to be a knock yes - better for him to rest. Rekik was solid defensively.

Yeah I agree. I think we will score at the nou camp too. Meaning they would need 4 goals at least to knock us out. I think with these current players and under lopetegui we very well organised defensively to hopefully prevent that. We have a great chance now.

now sounding like an arrogant fan lol.
It is weird to see us play this comfortably and everything coming naturally against Barca. In the second half we struggled only a bit in episodes, but the first half was a total domination from us. It felt extremely good I’ll tell you that.
Keep coming around more often when you have time. I’d love to see your thoughts here as always.
