Good luck everyone.
Here’s to a Mourinho red card.
Good luck everyone.
Here’s to a Mourinho red card.
Let’s go!!!
Mourinho tried to rattle things up in the press conferences seemingly. Trying to create friction. Between the board, Mendi and just in general. He is definitely annoyed about how much we won this cup already.
He be like that, and always will.
No outsider can say anything that bothers us, we are Sevilla FC. Vamooss!!!
I’m going to be working while the game is on, so I may have to enact a blackout until I can get back and watch the game.
I feel quite nervous about the game. I’m slightly concerned that this is Mourinho’s Roma, he has a very different relationship with Italian teams and fans than he did in England (apart from Chelsea first time round). He might not be an elite manager anymore, but in the second tier he’s still a very good coach. He has a taste for success given he won the Conference with Roma last year and has won the EL twice before.
I don’t particularly like the rhetoric coming from Sevilla (at least on social media) either. Sevilla may have won this trophy more than anyone else, may want it more than anyone else, but they damn sure better be up for a fight for this one. Sevilla may have the Casta in the Europa League, but they have to have the Coraje to take the game to Roma.
Hopeful but nervous
I read that Mendi is saying we’re favourites. I wouldn’t say we are, a 50/50 game.
Hoping we can prevail again!
sportsbooks has us as the underdogs. Sevilla (-105) vs AS Roma (-120) to win the cup. I believe we opened up as favorites but the line has slowly shifted to favor Roma.
I’m always nervous for finals, cause it seems each one presents its own challenge. None of them have been easy, but in every one we’ve seen Sevilla bring its best version.
Everyone that came across us in Europe has made a big mistake letting us get to another EL final. I’ll always respect Mourinho as a manager, and i believe he can bring a great performance out his team. But he’s running into the Rojiblancos in la UEFA. Sorry we gotta do it to the red side of Rome (again), but there’s still room in our trophy cabinet.
VAMOS MI SEVILLA FUTBOL CLUB !!!
Worth clarifying that I don’t think Mendi really said we are favorites. Another psychological warfare tactic from real life football’s equivalent of Nate the Wonder Kid. Using his success for evil, making everyone around him miserable due to his own insecurities.
Would have to go through the whole interview to verify if he actually said that, but I’m pretty sure he said something like “People might say we’re the favorite by 5 percent or whatever, but that means nothing and it’s my job as coach to get the team to focus on the match” (probably very far from what he actually said…this is from memory). And then later in the day Mou comes around with “Mendi can say he’s the favorite”. BS, as always from this clown.
Let’s VAMOS.
I’m in Budapest now for the match
Warm and sunny 26 degrees here right now, will be perfect conditions tonight.
Dybala starting would be one of the main concerns for us.
Mourinho would have identified players to target from Sevilla team, either for a weakness in their game or temperament. If Gueye plays he’ll be one of them probably. Also they’ll try to get an earlyish booking for Lamela imo.
Taking a Danube river cruise now, waiting to get to the stadium!
Can’t play. Not on the Europa roster.
Damn man! Have a great time! Keep these photos and videos coming
I will post some photos

So cool - Coke, Pareja, and Carrico leading the chants!
I will not be able to handle this. I’m already feeling sick thanks to anxiety for this match alone, and we still have five hours to go. Either way, let’s go and win this, I believe!
I’m supposed to be getting some work done this morning for a deadline…not looking good on productivity today. Anxietyyyyyy
Those players do not have to do any of that, and that’s why it is special! Always great to see that they actually appreciate the club and fans!
So how do we lineup?
Bono
Navas, Bade, Gudelj, Telles
Fernando, Rakitic
Ocampos, Torres, Gil
YEN
Seems like the most likely lineup. Only variations that I think could happen (although I don’t suspect they will) are Suso for Oliver and Marcao for Gudelj. Assuming Mendi doesn’t go with either of those subs at the starting line-up, I do think Suso is the first sub if it seems like Oliver isn’t doing what we need in attack.
As much as I am hopefully for Marcao to get healthier…it seems like he would have needed to be healthy a couple months ago to really get ready for a final with the team. I can’t remember what Mendi said in interviews, I think he said Marcao and Suso are ready in principle but that Jordan was travelling as a “bulto” (as “an extra body” is probably best way to translate that…?)
