Winter 2023 Transfer Thread

At first I fell for it until I saw 2028. Somehow that doesn’t seem like a contract he would take…

I also just don’t picture his family wanting to live in Melilla for the next 6 years…

Might be in for another CB, now that Rekik is out indefinitely. Aleksandar Dragovic out of Red Star Belgrade. At 31yo, would be the veteran presence needed in that backline.

My only doubts are that i thought we’d go for a left-footed defender who might also play LB, to stand-in for Telles. Unless we plan on using Salas for that…

What happened to Rekik, I haven’t seen news on him?

Not an official source, but i seen it on here.

Also, seen a similar article on VamosMiSevilla, but i don’t always trust what they publish. Rekik being out long-term is definitely plausible, cause it doesn’t seem to take much for him to get injured these days. Might as well let him recover. :pensive:

Loïc Bade confirmed

Dolberg to Hoffenheim is a great deal for all 4 parties involved.

Monchi getting rid of these summer signings with the quickness. It’s as if Oscar Arias had made them.

I think someone kidnapped Monchi in the summer.

As is half the current team, but Dragovic has gone on record to say he isn’t interested. The feeling’s mutual mate, enjoy Belgrade.

Bade is a step in the right direction but central defence still needs sorting out given Marcao can only play once a fortnight and Rekik has never conviced me fitness wise or talent-wise. A stop gap for the remainder of the season is a must. Either Otamendi or Musacchio would cover the gaps until some cash is available for next season.

Other news is Ocampos will have his loan terminated but given he hasn’t played since October he will need to be fully integrated back into the squad.

And Luis Alberto likely to come back to Spain but the frontrunners are Valencia, do not let that happen.

Interesting thought by Sid Lowe and Phil on their show.

Who on Sevilla can be their Iago Aspas and put the team on their back to save them from relegation?

In the true spirit of this season, Badé arrives injured and not fit to play. :open_mouth:

Will this nightmare never end?

If he’s injured he’ll come to Sevilla, haven’t Valencia got a pretty decent midfield already, certainly if you class Cavani as an attacking midfielder.

Then why did we loan him if he is injured?

Perhaps we could enquire about taking Diego Carlos on loan until March?

I’ve been asking this since Banega left. All we seem to agree on is that Fernando is the best player on this team. But in an attacking sense… NOBODY. I thought Papu would be that guy, but he got worse this season. For now, Lamela seems to be one of the few that gives me hope.

Apparently he’ll be fit to train on Thursday, so it may not be too serious. Anything beyond that, then I’m just writing off the whole season.

I love Ocampos’ attitude when he’s playing, but I’m still conflicted about this. We only got a few matchdays of him playing like that 1st season, and we’re expected to think he’ll suddently get back to that? I love the brother, but man…

He might be next to arrive, though I think we’re working on getting Januzaj to another team. I think Sampaoli really wants a striker.

That is better than anything we have on the wing right now except Lamela. Him and Lamela at least gives us some work rate and energy.

I think Sampaoli said that Ocampos could serve well as centre forward but the phrase was ‘enfrente gol’, in Argentine speak. I’d like both Bryan Gil and Ocampos and at least be strong in one position although I understand we might not be able to afford that luxury.

Still have confidence in Monchi to do some of his best work, but the confidence is starting to wane.

Yeah, Badé has ‘molestias’, nothing serious, same language used for Marcáo in pre-season, it’s probably just that really, no need for paranoia at this stage.

Perhaps with Ocampos and Lamela in the team we can do some damage to the opposing defences and perhaps we can get Oliver functioning around the penalty area.

lolol materfull Tim, subtly playing with our emotions on this: “not serious” → “same language as Marcao”

One time target Vincent Aboubakar was rumored to be loaned out / have his contract terminated due to Ronaldo arriving at Al Nassr, would be a great addition as he’s always aggressive and looking to score; only thing is every news outlet is saying Man U are going to loan him.

The club needs a striker, you cannot hope to finish the season with Mir on the sidelines and YEN being patchy as ever.

I thought there would be more players lined up right now, not a whole bunch … maybe 2 or 3. What’s stalling Ocampos, he belongs to Sevilla, it can’t be more than a formality.
Well I think we’re playing a waiting game with Ajax who don’t want him but want Sevilla to recompense them.

Yeah probably trying to recoup at least 2 million I would imagine.

Hmm, now it’s said Man U are in for Weghorst instead despite his pathetic scoring record for Burnley last season, probably because he’s Dutch and all. The major thing is they won’t be going for Aboubakar after that; his contract termination has also been confirmed.

Come on Monchi, what are you waiting for, sign him up!!
