UCL MD6: FC Salzburg v Sevilla FC [21/22]

Sevilla need way more from Rakitic.

How about someone better? Rakitic was never the adequate replacement for Banega, far from it. Jordan is inconsistent, Delaney is average, Fernando well past his prime and he can’t keep the same form for the whole season at 34. Oliver and Oscar are not being utilized properly. Gudelj…

We need fresh blood and decent players in the midfield or what’s the point in playing 4-3-3 after all? With a crap midfield, it defeats its own purpose.

I’m afraid he won’t, not for anything else other than he’s a very average (often below) winger and thus can’t expect much from him.

How are you feeling about the game tomorrow at San Mames @ShendM? Bilbao are always tricky for us but they not been in great goal scoring form or their home not as good this season. With our cagey away displays this will be very low scoring and 0-0 is possible haha.

A safe bet would be less than 3 goals in the match :stuck_out_tongue: - the 3 points could go either way, it will be cagey as you mentioned but with a bit of luck we can win this one. Let’s see how the team and manager reflect after the shameful performance in CL.

Ocampos has not travelled to Bilbao + Rakitik is suspended
Full squad for tomorrow is

Bono, Dmitrovic, Javi Díaz, Montiel, Koundé, Diego Carlos, Rekik, Augustinsson, Gudelj, Fernando, Delaney, Joan Jordán, Óliver Torres, Luismi Cruz, Juanlu, Idrissi, Óscar Rodríguez, Papu Gómez, Nacho Quintana, Munir, Iván Romero y Rafa Mir.

Idrissi and Munir on the wing it is then. Unless we’d want to field Papu on the right.

A draw would be a good result considering our injuries and our poor track record at Bilbao. They always play us tough.

It’s now or never for the youths
