UCL MD1: Sevilla FC vs Manchester City [22/23]

Yep that’s what it’s come to.

On the bright side if this score holds I get 5 points on super 6 for correct score!

That was painful. City was awesome to watch to be fair. I have no words for us! We may not win before the World Cup starts at this rate! Espanyol is our best chance but if I’m honest we even underdogs in that.

Now what kind of favour will Diego Martinez do for Sevilla on Saturday…

I don’t know, but will Joselu or Braithwaite or both score a hattrick?

No favours. You mean what gift will lope give espanyol :unamused:

They have proper strikers unlike us.

Both of them are currently better than anything we got. Our attacking quality is so weak and we have a really negative manager to boot. As well as a Sevilla board that’s just let this crisis reach boiling point by doing nothing but sell our best players.

Disappointing result, but let’s be honest, what chance did we have?

City spent 555m on their starting 11.

We spent 42m.

Grealish alone is almost three times as expensive as our starting 11. What can we do against teams that spend that much?

It’s never a guarantee. Look at Dinamo Vs Chelsea earlier this evening.

One of the biggest differences between Sevilla and city was that City were there to win, Sevilla were not.

Yeah we know there’s a talent and money gap. However, what we can’t forgive is how listless we were and there was no passion. We just accepted our fate before the start. That’s pathetic for a team in their first champions league home game. That’s not the Sevilla of old we all fell in love in. Big changes are needed as the club is losing its soul.

The fans were incredible though and kept singing and supporting the team. They deserve so much more.

Through five games, they’ve allowed the second-most xG of any team in LaLiga.
