€33M for your star striker in the last 10 days of the window is wild.. i would’ve respected €40m earlier in the summer, but you gotta bring non-negotiable numbers to the table this late.

I don’t care if this interferes with the Fornals deal — reportedly West Ham are asking for €10m — we could always find another player. Also, YEN already refused a transfer there in the past.

Then there’s also the notion that all this could be made up.

Will we get Carlos Bacca or Luis Muriel? Homie is still unsigned and not getting linked to anybody worries me as well. I’d hope for Moise Kean, but all those reports are coming from habitual liars. :downcast_face_with_sweat:

I didn’t know this
LeganƩs will receive 10% of any capital gain that we make over the 20m that we paid for Yen should we sell him.

Time is ticking…

Okay that’s a start.

Couple things to like. More of a real winger than many of our current attacking players, definitely a different type as well.

Last year showed to be a scoring threat, scoring 11.

Ready to peak, age 25, generally best years to come, and giving us some more youthness and freshness.

Also not a player that made too big of a name compared to the our recent trends we looked for in attacking players. A player on the rise instead of on the drop only hoping to revive like the Januzajs and Dolbergs.

His dribbling and movement and acceleration looking positive. First touch and technical ability not as much but still decent at least of the few flashes I saw but Id like to see and judge it more soon enough

Glad with the new attacking blood that is not almost dried out before arriving here, something unheard of last years.

I don’t think he necessarily is a good match with Navas at the moment but we will also see soon enough. I think he would have been great with past Navas or potentially our energetic boy Juanlu in the future. Because right now Navas his attacking intensions are often stepwise and slower advancing compared to high pace attacks speeding through and overwhelming defenses but again its just a feeling. For now glad we got another transfer done.

Welcome Dodi.

We can use that one as knocking on Mendi’s door when keeps playing Spanish players not letting him in.

What happens when Rafa and Youssef both leave btw? We need some Gameiro Bacca type double transfers to cover within way less time.

GIF?

Does he have a song though…

Yeah I hope mendi actually gives him playing time.

We’re getting linked to 24yr striker Vangelis Pavlidis from AZ Alkmaar. I always have the same reaction when we get linked with high-scoring forwards from the Eredivisie. Should i feel any different about this one @Enrico?

Yeah there’s hardly ever any guarantee.
KonĆ© was something special for the Eredivisie back then, atleast he could do things on his own, many strikers just rely on others being shit and given so many opportunities. At Wigan and Levante it showed he could do it for mediocre teams. I don’t follow it as closely as I did back when I was younger also because the level can be horrendous and you have to be a national football fan to enjoy it which I grew out of as soon as I saw more international football. I would be very hesitant to go for more Eredivisie players, unless they showed enough internationally or in the European leagues or I trust others opinions of them. My local teams latest hero, and fellow greek, Giakoumakis becoming Eredivisie topscorer was the same thing and the list of one year wonders goes on. If you wanna revamp your career anybody going to the Dutch league has the chance on a transfer next year lol. I wouldn’t vouch for it. But if Orta wants to gamble, I respect the balls.

My Dutch friends think he’s quite a decent striker and my father says he’s definitely better than Luuk and a bit of a type like Lewandowski. Both unsure if he’s good enough to be starting directly but if ours leave there is no other options.

Looks like Pavlidis it is. Deal of 15m.

He had a decent amount of assists so despite being Eredivisie he has eye for teammates and is supposedly on the ball better then our previous strikers so that might help with us playing football where the striker is involved instead of excluded. Some more positives.

Orta with the moves now, I think this one is brave. After putting down 14m for Idrissi and 12m for Luuk in the past. There is definitely talent in the Eredivisie but the top ones are always gone, so there is a reason teams doubt for the rest. But Orta goes for it. Confirmation expected soon.

I am leaning towards being positive about this one.
More football, less ego and decent promises, keep em coming, is the level enough? We’ll see.
