Summer 2023 - Sevilla FC Transfer Rumors

They are kind of the same player no?

Sow looks like a better creator than Gueye. More of a total package. But i’d still welcome Pape back in January or next summer.

January decisions will be based on our needs and finances but maybe we let him go because of his reds, time, finances or circumstances. He seemed to mix well with the other players so who knows, I’d have him back personally.

Any early takes on Juanlu? Would y’all be comfortable letting Montiel go on loan to get starter minutes, while letting the young one backup Navas at RB?

Personally, i still think it’s a huge task for him, cause we could have another Jose Angel scenario. Although i’d still be fine with hit cause we also have Tecatito who could also play there, in case Navas falls into injury troubles.

It’s certainly a risk, but I will always support giving chances to youngsters. He’s done well in preseason, I just don’t know if he’s ready just yet. as long as Tecatito stays healthy, however, I will be just fine with giving him a chance.

There’s also rumours of Brighton taking a liking to Juanlu. Something in the range of €15m-20m. Apparently his clause is at €25m.

I’m still of the opinion that Pozo was ready and would still be a 1st teamer had Lope not been a hater. Same coach who wanted nothing with Bryan Gil, unless he and Monchi prioritized that €25m we got.

Yep, pozo clearly ready because of how much he played for Eibar and Almeria.

I think the squad is good enough to start the season, with the obvious additions needed at left wing & striker.

I wouldn’t mind if we kept Idrissi, as he’s an actual left-winger. A better option than forcing someone like Lamela out there. Although it’s been said Mendi is looking for a natural left-footer to play LW.

At striker, i guess it all depends if & when Rafa leaves. I’m not gonna get swayed by his goals in pre-season, cause he’s already proven that he could score. I simply don’t see much difference b/w him & YEN with their play off the ball. I still don’t see our forward players and creators trusting them with ball to feet. I’m not asking for the next Kanoute, just someone that can at least play 1-2’s off of.

Found on Guardians of Nervion…not sure of their source.

ā€œNEW RUMOUR. Sergio Ramos, 38, willing to accept the salary Sevilla can pay him in order to return. Apparently he’s already arranging his Sevilla home for the return. He would take up place in the Champions list.ā€

I have been very much against Ramos coming. He seems to keep trying to return to the club and rebuild his reputation in the city for his eventual retirement. He is old, but still decent in spurts. Our defense is a bit unsteady at this point. I say we offer him a salary of 1 euro to give him the opportunity to play. He is not chasing money at this point. He might actually take it.

Horseface Ramos? I mean… why not?

Let’s give him a 2+ optional 1 (club’s choice) contract with minimal salary.

Mike TrĆ©sor Ndayishimiye of Genk is the latest rumor around…

I had been assuming there was no way this would happen, given how much people in Sevilla hate Ramos. But I saw a Twitter poll (albeit unscientific) that suggested that I was over extrapolating my own distaste for Ramos. The poll suggested that 60-70% of fans are in favor of a return. Granted, that implies there’s still a vocal minority that will be at his throat if he comes, but who knows, puede ser. Stranger things have happened.

Thiago Alcantara was rumored a few weeks ago but turns out to be a fake rumor according to Fabrizio Romano - there were never negotiations or interest of any sort between the club and him.

Would love a player of Thiago’s quality, but his injury history scares me. We’re dealing with enough already.

Also, Tresor would be an amazing signing. Youth, pace, goals? Exactly the qualities we need right now. We just have to deal with these Prem teams in the running.

Holy the guy had 24 assists last season, those are Ɩzil numbers. We are desperately in need of a player like that. Great call.

Ramos can take free kick, pen, good header and positioning.
He could be our third striker for cheapšŸ˜›

I wouldn’t mind Ramos but only if can make the finances work. We don’t need him at this point, but he’d still be valuable. He’d count as an academy player for roster purposes too, wouldn’t he?

In the end, we have all the leverage here. If he wants to play for us, he’ll have to take lower wages and probably accept lower minutes as well.

Anything new on Ramos rumor?

I’ve also read that he rejected offers from Sevilla and Arabian clubs in order to consider a move to Inter Miami.
