Summer 2023 - Sevilla FC Transfer Rumors

I been out the loop this whole season and just coming round to these names. Young 22-yo striker who won the league w Feyenoord, scoring 23 goals + 3 assists (all comps). I know, it’s only his 1st season in Europe, also in the Eredivisie, which can be misleading. Hope to catch him in a Mexico game during the Gold Cup. Would you still vouch for him @Enrico?

Just adding the highlight reel for those unfamiliar:

So, rumor that Mallorca is interested in Oscar Rodriguez. So question is, would Oscar + Rafa Mir be a steal for us or for them? Or a fair deal?

Would you take that bet? Not just in terms of preference for the first team to play but just in terms of total dollars and cents of those three players, if they were to be bundled…

I do, Arne Slot The Feyenoord trainer, who’s superb in many aspects of his job. And also was an intelligent, technical, midfield player in his time. Was very impressed with him, even when he was unfit and could barely play half an hour at the start of the season. He said he was special, works with him every day and I believe his word. He misbehaved a bit I read.

Muriqi is not that great with his feet. You don’t need much to see that. The amount I heard people complain about those aspects from all strikers we had lately this one wouldn’t be much different. I agree with the second striker option. But never should we pay the big prize for that.

Jose Angel will be the first to depart in a permanent move to Sporting. Transfer valued at €5M to replace some :poop: player with an ugly moustache.

I really liked Carmona during his brief appearances last season. Had a lot of grit in him but needed to work on his defense. Sad to see a young local kid go.

Started off really well. Got the most minutes in pre-season and was so eager to make an impression. Lacked in judgment in a few plays, then it sadly started to snowball from there. I wish him the best, and hope he gains that confidence back.

Had a great run when we loaned him too, then he got injured.

…and he just signed for E. Frankfurt. :weary: We dropped the ball here, cause that’s a great player with no transfer fee attached. But i’ll give the experts the benefit of the doubt.

I’m already assuming we’re locking down Gueye, but we need another name. I wouldn’t mind if Fernando left, so we could see Pedro Ortiz get into the squad. But we def need two guaranteed starters for the CM/DM roles.

Any suggestions?

Someone like Enzo Loiodice from Las Palmas, who is highly rated on FIFA. Bilal Hussein at AIK is also seen as a good prospect with good passing. A younger player who can grow into the role alongside Fernando & Gudelj.

Media suggesting Arda Güler will join Real Madrid :pensive:

Güler is beyond gone. Talks about clubs loaning him from Madrid already. But he might stay at Madrid to prove himself.

Pedro Ortiz showed briliances in little moments for the few times he had the chance in the first team. I have my hopes on him, to be good, but is he ready already? I don’t know.

The “experts” at the club are quite happy to sit on their hands while other clubs are getting things done. First week of July is almost gone and almost all other clubs have done some business with Atletico being the most aggressive, bringing in Galan, Soyuncu, Azpiliceuta and some young kid named Mourino.

Sevilla need to kick it up a notch as they are club with biggest need for clearout and reinforcements. Latest rumour is sending Montiel and cash for Romain Faivre of Lyon.

Idrissi is also doing is part by telling his agent to reject all offers - he wants a chance next season. Yikes.

Exits are most def needed. I remember for Lope’s first season, we secured swift transfers for Muriel, Promes & Sarabia. These deals funded most of our moves that summer. I feel we’re stalling for good offers on our current players with higher market value, namely Bono & En-Nesyri. I think Ocampos is another of those players, but it seems he wants to stay.

We’re currently sitting at about 29 first-team players, so a lot of spots are gonna have to free up to shape this new squad. Orta just got here, and unfortunately didn’t get to prep ahead of this summer.

I have low expectations considering all the noise being made about our finances. Just address the left-wing for the love of God.

Villarreal doing work too! What a haul over there so far.

Sevilla not bad tough. Pedrosa, Badé, and Gattoni in with Gudlej resigned. Defense looks much better already.

Yeah, I feel like a perennial optimist over here but I agree that some sales and refresh are warranted, but also have another message for us: when hours a club who just win a European championship immediately return home to suggest the squad they have is unworkable and in massive need of overall?

I think with the fixes in defense we’re in much better shape and perhaps with some strengthening in the middle we could make a solid run with the team we have. Would I gladly sell YEN and Bono for some liquidity and youth? Sure. But would we be in terrible shape if they stay? No.

I would say that not switching out Rak or Fernando would be disastrous, as our midfield just really seems to be slowing the pace far too much, so one of the two positions really needs some fresh legs. But that can be done in early July, late July, or anytime in August, if you ask me.

Save 'dat money.

Oh, and sell Jordán, immediately. For Carmona prices. Just sent him to any rival who will buy him. And ditto Suso

Lyon have refused the deal due to Montiel’s upcoming court case in Argentina.

do we have another RB to replace Montiel?

At the moment, no. Unless a SAT player can make the jump.
