Espino is impressive going forward, he has that ability to upset defenders but not a great defender, definitely in the Medel school. Howler of a penalty in his last game.

Looks like these English clubs use the media to stage a conflict between a player and his club, just so they can nibble a bit off the transfer fee.

I’m not convinced that it’s the clubs at all. This is all the media outlet. They know that their readers will eat it up and keep clicking/driving ad revenue if they stir up controversy.

I didn’t want Isco anyway and if a player who has gone down hill for the last 4 years demands Champions then I want him even less.

Defense: Milan van Ewijk (21) - Super cheap wingback, quick, skillsfull. Playstyle like Mazraoui
Midfield: Orkun Kokcu (21) - Small deep-laying field general, playstyle like Banega in his latter years
Attack: Cody Gakpo (22) - Imagine Ocampos with less intensity and physicality but with more brains
I like where Edinho and Jesus are going in terms of the market value of the players that they like. With another year of Champion’s League money in the bank plus the likely sale of Kounde, Monchi can now go up-market in the 20-25 million range for better quality and better re-sale value (like Kounde.)
The 2019/20 transfer market was a goldmine for Sevilla that led to the Europa League title. Since then it’s been several low-cost veterans to get them over the finish line in 4th although Rafa Mir and Monteil were signed as well to give the team some younger players.
The roster looks tired now but Monchi doesn’t have to rely so much on finding low-cost bargains. He can shop for players to bring into the top of the depth-chart and drop everyone down a notch. I have high expectations for this window.
If we were to continue down the road of getting a tall CF, why not someone with at least some technical ability that can help in the buildup?
If we end up keeping YEN + Rafa, i’d actually want a player in the Martial mold, like Memphis Depay or Gabriel Jesus.

I don’t know how I feel about the recent rumors, but it’s all La Liga players of teams like Elche, Osasuna, Cadiz, Getafe etc.
Some of the names are: Espino, Arrambari, Boye, Mojica etc.
Then there is the eternal rumor of Isco, even Di Maria…
Tolisso is a nice rumor, but so far all are rumors and nothing is confirmed to be even close. The summer transfer window opens in 1 month.

But I think we shouldn’t make the mistake of planning for players for the Lope system if we don’t want to keep Lope. If we are about to sack him in the summer and get a new coach, then we need to adapt to their system and needs.
I think with Lope and those rumors it will be just recycling… another similar season.
