Adam Hložek of Sparta Prague (19 years old, CF and left winger) for 19 million Euros?

Anyone knows anything about this fella?

For our low Czech standards he is really talented player. Everyone says he should definitely leave Czech league, because he can’t grow here. He is forward, sometimes also playing from the wing. Everyone is interested how he would do in one of the top leagues. Rumours says he is linked with some Bundesliga team. So who knows…

Adam Hložek looks like a promising talent, just from watching some videos tho. But you can see his composure is great, he could have what it takes to become a quite complete attacker. All depends on how he can adapt, his mindset and how he will be used and will be managed. I love that he’s more or less two footed, I really think it’s a core aspect for a modern attacker. I can’t stand those one legged, limited attackers who need to many touches to get it right or spoil the chances. Nesyri (and more) have this as well, real hindrance. Bit of a tall Shaqiri vibe, i’m getting. 19 years of age. Not bad at all. If we invest 20m or so in him. Chances are it will take an adaptation period for 1-2 years. So you can’t expect him to carry the team immediately. Which is the problem, and what this team needs. Otherwise we’ll be playing for fun and for development and that’s exactly not what the management is looking for. And if it is what they are looking for, then we will hear it soon enough after our final game, when the real decisions will be made, and we can start renovating the squad hopefully accordingly.

Did you see that dude’s PK in Europa League final. If that was on purpose, wow…

Sevilla has a…history with Japanese players. Who remembers that signing from back in the day?

That was a good one. Kiyotake was decent too… a shame that he had to get back to Japan due to some personal stuff and continue his career there.

Didn’t play much, but he was exciting to watch. A goal and 2 assists in 4 league matches.

We had that Japanese striker in Sevilla Atletico about a decade ago. Hiroshi Ibusuki. I remember hoping he would breakthrough, but never happened. Also returned to Japan eventually but still plays professionally in Australia now :man_shrugging:

Watching the EL final last night the Rangers defender Calvin Bassey really stood out as the best player on the pitch for me. He would be a great replacement for Kounde.

We’re selling Kounde for 55 million Euros?

Never, I think near 70m is acceptable.

Palhinha, Hlozek I put on my wish list from the rumours we heard so far.

Luis Alberto and Kamada, as well fine names. Hard to estimate how real/close they are. Lazio is wanting so much money, which makes it a quite far fetched deal I believe. But who knows, him wanting to return to Spain makes me believe we are in it.

The other side of the coin, suggests we might pay about 30 something million for Mojica and Lucas Boye. :man_shrugging:

Also, this isn’t news regarding us but it good for us. I’m sure you’re all aware but Kylain Mbappe has decided to stay at PSG rather than moving to Madrid.

That´s really big. Massive bump for their ego, and it would have guaranteed their new superstar for the coming decade, which won´t bother us now at all. Great news, dissapointed for the status of La Liga tho, they could use his arrival.

I have no idea why La Liga felt the need to put out a statement because Real Mierda didn’t get to sign him. They just mad the French league is better rn. :eyes:

Thankfully no more boring football, at least for a couple months, but now onto the more exciting part of being a Sevilla fan.

Will really dread it if/when we lose our top guys. Especially En-Nesyri. Whoever manages to sign him will be doing great business. What a player he was for us! :weary:

In a team where you have good set up, and willingness to serve the striker. Rafa Mir will score a record amount of goals I believe.

If Lope stays, I don’t see us change the system and again if we don’t optimally use him. It will be such a waste again. They really think, buy different striker, to score more goals instead is beyond me. You will need a Benzema type to do it all on his own basically. Boye isn’t better then Mir. Are you gonna play them both? Nope. He won’t. So don’t waste the money on it. Better buy a CF like Saviola who’s working with the holes and spaces around Mir and put trust and confidence in Rafa.

They are rumouring Moussa Dembele from Lyon as well after a great year (22 goals, 5 assists). But a striker definitely will have to leave if we go for him.

I just read that Sevilla offered €12m for Lucas Boyé during last winters transfer window, which was 4 times what Elche paid months earlier.

It all depends what the manager wants from a player and what he believes the player can achieve, therein is the problem. Lope didn’t put LDJ on to score goals but to work including defence, Barcelona brought on LDJ when they needed a goal. Same player different managerial expectations.

I don’t really see how a rigid system can possibly get the best out of a player’s individual skills unless the system is based on the 11. Our system rarely changes whatever the 11.

Basically, I’m already dreading next season.

Don’t disagree with your analysis, in a sense, but two open questions.

First, I think we already have a certain Saviola in Ocampos, right? Or Tecatito? I actually think we mostly just need a Fernando or a Joan Jordan not sucking, or just some stronger forward linking from the midfield, a replacement to Rakitic.

Second, I think Rafa Mir is very talented but sorta dumb as rocks, still haven’t seen evidence to the contrary. Always the wrong decision…

YEN at least makes the right decision but gets jittery and messes up the angle. I dunno, I don’t think we NEED a new striker, but if they sell YEN, I shudder to imagine us relying only on Rafa Mir. I dunno, just something about him that kills me.

I would love to see same system but new Rakitic, Fernando backup, and Jesus Navas Junior (can Montiel step up?)

Also, we need to build a statue to Augustinsson…so we never forget how bad he’s been. Poor chap…

PS - I won’t even mention buying central backs…don’t want to even think about one or both of them leaving…

Don’t disagree with you, but emphasis on the “was”. Confidence is missing this season, maybe because he is thinking “how in the world am I competing for playing time with dumb as rocks Mir? Could I possibly be worse than Rafa Mir?”
