Summer 2021 Sevilla Transfer Rumours etc

I do think a veteran striker is a good idea, but it shouldn’t be a large cut from our transfer budget.

Timing is everything. Carlos Fdez would’ve been perfect for this scenario. :pensive:

Yup, very curious who we end up with, exciting and worriying.

Create your own way? He was one of the worst in Europe at doing that.

I think you got it wrong, im not saying creating his own chances, you gotta make from what you get in bad positions under those circumstances. So you try before the optimal moment, because thats what you get. Meaning you have low percentage, of already bad chances. Which is not fair. Missing 5 sitters, or 15 missing from 20 meters or general bad positions.

I’m disappointed we let him go too. He has high potential and we can from his loan spells at Granada and Real Sociedad he can score goals if he’s given a run in the team. Could’ve saved alot of money replacing de Jong when he leaves this summer

Sometimes I just like looking at rumors just to get a laugh from them…

This is one of those articles. Three players in a swap deal, including ex-:poop: player Firpo? This has to be the funniest thing ive seen all week

That should be very do-able

Yeah! That looks like the type of trade that I used to do in video games. The type where I’d get rid of all my dead weight and get a superstar. There’s a higher chance that I’m our starting CB next year than that happens. :joy:

Screw Lenglet… I don’t have any respect for a starting defender that was with us in the infamous 2017-18 season where we lost:

4-0 to Valencia

5-0 to RM

3-5 at home to :poop:

5-1 to Eibar

2-5 at home to Atletico

4-0 to Celta Vigo

0-5 to Barca in the CDR Final

5-1 to Spartak Moscow in CL

I never really rated Lenglet and even at Barca their fans do not rate him, he’s often a liability and we can’t afford that. He’s too soft at times, which wouldn’t work for our ambitions.

Firpo? Didn’t he play for :poop:??

I don’t want Lenglet myself but I’ll trust Monchi. Countinho the wages alone make it impossible.

That rumor has been reported in espn and something called mundo deportivo.

If i had my way…

CBs: Milenkovic is on the last year of his contract, so i’d expect the fee to be around €20-30m. Definitely the best option on the market. In terms of competition, Juve is already stacked at CB, Inter have to sell this year, and Milan are going with Tomori. Can someone say oportunidad de mercado? As for Laguardia, anybody other than the options we currently have will do.

FBs: Sabaly is a RB that can play on both flanks and has a good cross on him. There’s definitely other options tho. Galán is looking like the main target at LB.

DM: Renato Tapia is the player best to replace Fernando when his time comes. Word on the street is that Atlético’s already interested. The bad news is that his buyout clause is said to be €30m, which is pricey for a backup, but he’d quickly become the #1 option. Besides, we could always bring that price down. Otherwise, we could just go for Lucas Torró (Osasuna), and decide on a proper DM next summer.

RW/LW: Jorge de Frutos. If there’s a winger from Levante that i wanted, it would’ve been Morales. But i think it’s too late to go for him. This kid from the Madrid academy looks like the real deal. Decent season at Levante w/ 4 goals & 12 assists (all comps). RM still own 50% of his rights, while his release clause is at €30m. Can we pull an Óscar-like deal and get away with paying Levante €15M?

CF: Finally at striker, i’m going with ol’ boy Stevan Jovetic. Monaco won’t be renewing his contract, while he’s had a decent end to the season, scoring 6 goals since January. In Fifa terms, he’s got “that special something.” The major risk here is Jojo’s history with injuries. Hence, i have Munir there to cover, although he’s likely on the transfer list. I’m not a fan of keeping 3 strikers on a squad, but in Munir’s case, his versatility can land him anywhere in that attack.

Dmitrovic » free
Milenkovic » €25m
Laguardia » €5m
Sabaly » free
Galán » €4m
Tapia » €25m
de Frutos » €15m
Jovetic » free
TOTAL »» €74m

A total that can be covered by a simple Kounde transfer. Now, most of this is wishful thinking, but i’m mostly hoping we’re getting players of similar quality.

I believe he’s talking about the Milenkovic at Fiorentina and not Sergej.

This 2021-22 planning looks interesting. Honestly I haven’t seen much of Milenkovic so not sure about him, also not sure if we can count on Jovetic at this point, but otherwise it looks nice.

Honestly, as long as we keep Bryan Gil, Monchi can get whomever at all those spots. That’s my only request this summer.

The Rafa Mir vs YEN comparison: https://fbref.com/tiny/U3AtH

So I was looking at the shots created solo (what I was chatting with Enrico about the other day), Neither Mir nor YEN is very high on the list. YEN is 118 in La Liga and Mir is 168.

Suso - 10th, Navas 12th, Bryan 11th, Ocampos 27th, Jordan 36. This stat is basically, shots created when an individual makes 2 offensive actions to create a shot.

For me, Fernando is getting old and Rakitic hasn’t been good. I really want a CM and or DM that is starter worthy.
