Oscar’s release clause is €80M.
Seems low
I’m hearing Barca are letting him go for free
, eitherways they are desperate to sell and Monchi is weaving his magic again. Rakitic on anything less than 20m is a steal in this market.
Acuna may cost around 15m and Bono is imminent, finally the wheels of Sevilla’s transfer machine are working.
I’m very excited for the new season. I hope we can get another striker in. We have Carlos Fernandez back who will boost us a lot along with De jong and En Neysri. Hopefully we can one more there, inaki Williams would be awesome.
I thought Fernandez left?
He’s back with us at moment. He was on loan at Granada last season. We have him back but not sure whether we keeping him or not. I hope we do as I feel he’s ready to make a big impact to help us up front with more goals.
I feel like, they are aiminng to sell Carlos Fernandez… lot of demand for him, might have to set him free. Dificult situation after many loans, understandably patience runs out, contract 2 more years, might not extend and some nice offers are coming along now. Seems fair. Lazio, Benfica and Celta are clubs rumoured for him in the market.
We seem to be loading too many attack minded midfielders. Oliver, Oscar and now Rakitic. I guess we are gonna rely on Fernando again.
Fernando and Gudelj are serviceable. I’m fine with them.
I don’t mind it, if you need an enhanced midfield. A free role for one of those, with a striker and free role 2nd around him, can be very dynamic. So you don’t always have to put Ocampos left, Suso right and nothing else. Although it’s the main system which is fine.
I think Rakitic is comfortable at switching to a deeper role; not as deep as Banega but somewhere inbetween, his value is in his passing and shooting from range, issue was the same at Barca where you don’t get too close to around 25 yards or so from the box as there is where Messi will be. Interesting to see how Ocsar and Oliver are instructed to play in the new season.
Fernando is excellent and Gudelj serviceable but one more defensive minded guy could really ease my fears.
Is Tagliafico out of our league? In Holland he keeps being mentioned one time from Barcelona then down to Leicester City. His price is cheap, but very good all-round left back. Very biased coz I know him better but would rate him higher then Acuña and his price 20m.
Apparently was a target during era Sampaoli. Anyway nothing against Acuña, I have faith either way.
And we ended up paying €1.5M. Wow.
Rakitic has become more well rounded since he left us, and can cover for both Jordán & Fernando. I think this completes our midfield.
So far we have: Fernando, Oscar, Rakitic, Oliver Torres, Gudelj and Mudo in midfield (assuming that Amadou and Mesa will be sold/loaned out). Not sure if Mudo will stay.
It is enough in numbers, but I only fear that we don’t have a proper replacement for Fernando in case of injury/suspension or simple rest for the very demanding upcoming 2020-21 season. Gudelj is ok but not of Fernando’s caliber.
Rakitic played in Busquets roll several times and has been dropping deeper and deeper in Barcelona’s system. I think he fills the Banega roll spectacularly. I wouldn’t rate him as good of a ball winner as Banega, but is arguably a better passer.
He takes good free kicks too and shoots outside the box well. He has improved a lot in Barca so let’s hope we’ll have the Barca Rakitic this time around.
“Per the same report, if Sevilla qualifies for the Europa League or Champions League in the next two years , there are stipulated amounts of around 8 million euros . With the token savings, settlement, and what is expected to be received from Sevilla, the Blaugranas estimate to get an amount of 20 million euros through this deal.”
Calling bullshit on this article.
Yea it’s bullshit. The add-ons for CL qualification will be €750k per season.
€8M?!?
I read it could go up to a maximum of 9m.
Still good. 1.5m fixed is insane.
Hope it goes well for Raki, would hate to see Gol Norte on his case.
Suker says Raki turned down 6 offers at higher salary.
After all is said, I wouldn’t want to pay more than €8m, let’s face it, Barcelona released him, they had no future plans for him so they could hardly ask for a large fee.
