Sevilla FC Summer 2025/Winter 2026 Transfer Rumors

That is a respectable view to have on things, but if you don’t have players in the academy that are good enough to keep you in the top flight then the business model crumbles. I wholeheartedly agree that the canteras at times have been criminally underused and we have sold them off way too soon. For a long time I hoped we would bring back Campaña and Luis Alberto for example. I have also stated earlier that one of the few positives of our current financial situation is the fact that we have to rely more on our own young players.

But! I don’t buy the premise that only canteras can become sevillistas and connect with the fans. As a matter of fact I find it equally beautiful to bring in a foreign player, watch them thrive in the club and get turned into a sevillista. Rakitic as a prime example.

100%. Academy players should only play if they are good enough. That is for sure.

And I also agree that foreign players can become cult players. That was not what I meant.

but this time, I actually think the academy players who are in the first team are good enough to warrant a place, therefore I would be sad to sell Them. i truly believe guys like Isaac and Juanlu can bounce back, but we really also miss the guys who are away, like Ejuke, Adams, Vargas.

The only one im in doubt of is Kike Salas. Seems Almeyda doesnt rate him much, you know why?

Because as an actual defender (the position he is paid to play) he isn’t very good. Popping up with a goal every now and again doesn’t disguise his obvious flaws for the position(s) he is in the team to play.

Akor is running the show in the Nigeria NT, along with Osimhen and Lookman - a deadly trio.

We all know that this doesn’t necessarily translate in better performances in the club, as there have to be certain conditions for that, such as the current Nigerian players in the Nigeria NT, tactics, vibe, atmosphere etc.

Sooo….. why don’t we use Akor’s momentum and all the ‘hungry’ eyes directed at him and ultimately sell him this January?

It seems that it’s a question of we keep the same players and hope for the best… alternative is we sell 1-2 and bring in 1-2 new players.

I think we need fresh blood, the current ones aren’t cutting it. We can’t expect Akor to save us for the remainder of the season, as it’s not only an isolated striker problem. Maybe a midfield problem as well?

Tough call… and not a good situation to be in. But that’s what the management is there for after all, it’s in their hands, with full responsibility.

Sevilla apparantly interested in Gustavo Hamer from Sheffield United. £6m is the price..

Dont know what to Think of it. Fine player, but hardly moves anything. Although he Can score goals from midfield.

Do we even have 6 million? I’m not sure we currently have enough to even buy a takeaway!

Hamer would be a good addition to our midfield but there’s no way we would get him for only £6m when bids of 10-12m were turned down for him in the summer.

Contract expiry in 2027, that must affect the price

Here we are again at another pivotal window, 15 days in and Sevilla have let Alvaro Fernandez and Ramon Martinez leave on frees while securing Juan Iglesias for next season, not the most groundbreaking but shows the club is really short of funds.

I would think the priority is to sell the assets that have any value, slog through this season while avoiding relegation and see how next season goes. It is pretty pathetic management from the top but this is exactly what the current leadership has been like for the past couple of years.

As Juan Iglesias plays as right back, I would think the club is open to selling Juanlu Sanchez and maybe even Carmona if they have a market. That might pocket the club around 30m, if Conte comes back for Juanlu I imagine the club would not stand in his way.

As @Shendm92 said Akor is doing pretty well at Afcon, if Nigeria go all the way they would play until 18th of January, which gives around two weeks for suitors to make offers for him. Only thing is he might be the only forward who can score right now given Issac’s horrendous form. If Akor can build upon his Afcon performances he might be able to fetch around 20m in the summer window and save Sevilla from relegation, I’m leaning on keeping him until then.

I think the club would look at other free agents and loan deals to plug the gaps, so don’t expect any major additions. The only thing to really look forward to is how many contracts are up at the end of this season, does anyone have a list?

Those two players leaving on free is not an issue for me as they werent starters or even close to anyway. Fill the gaps with academy players.

Do anyone know for How Long Sevilla has to sell almost everyone with value and when things actually turn around and they can start spending again?

Lets not forgot that Akor wasnt very good before he went to AFCON either. He is not the striker solution either. Problem is, Sevilla dont create chances. At least not enough. Especially for their strikers. No striker would do well as Long as the support cast is this bad.

I doubt Carmona goes. He is really important to Almeydas system. Suspect Juanlu could be sold, but he seems more like a winger/wingback than a fullback.

I dont have issues with finding cheap players, you could make some really good signings that cost almost nothing. The issue is for How Long..

In this current climate of football, Sevilla will always be a selling club. Whether it’s Atleti/Barca/Real or an EPL team, there will seemingly always be wealthier teams looking at Sevilla’s best players.

To make my reply shorter - It’ll take a sustained period of long EL runs or Champions League qualification with (about) this current wage budget until Sevilla can start turning down offers for players. Without some form of financial takeover, there is no hope of financial solvency. Unfortunately Sevilla are not a large enough club to just make up finances as they go along unlike those clubs mentioned above.

Akor wasn’t great tonight vs Morocco sadly, I wouldn’t pin any hopes on him being a huge profit maker for Sevilla this transfer window, he only scored two goals in games where Osimhen did most of the work.

I apologise if this seems quite negative, I just feel right now that Sevilla are in dire straits.

“Sevilla will always be a selling club” no real objection to that statement. but its ignoring the fact that we always have been sellers! even our best clubs went and sold our best players: Alves, Ramos, Navas. We will, of course, never have budgets like Atleti/Barca/Real. But it IS important to be back in a position where we are not making short-term moves to get out of crippling debt and can play with a slightly longer investment horizon for our players, not just accept the very first offer we get, but make sure we’re getting as close to maximal market value as possible.

I also would like to know… how far in the red are we still?! And will clearing the books of bad contracts this offseason mean that we could start to see slightly more abitious purchases next summer? the following?

Akor had a goal disallowed (by a foul away from the ball) today yesterday in the 3rd place game against egypt (which they won). By all accounts, he’s done well and impressed a number of people over the course of the games. Does that mean he’d get more than a 20m offer? that, i dont really have a feel for.

The criticism that service is failing our strikers is very valid in my view.

Anyway, I think keeping Akor through the season is really important. This last run of games is definitely now shifting me out of my: “we’re mid table, can we all chill out?” stance and into a: “holy crap we’d better get things together” mode.

But the combo of injuries and AFCON really killed us. Getting our Nigerians back should help. Let’s hope this team seriously vamos-es against Elche today (even if the Nigerians wont be back yet).

Glad that finally we’re all on the same page (or at least most of us) and realize that we’re in a relegation battle and were destined for that from the beginning of the season - not for an European place, though it was easy to get fooled after some rare performances like the one vs. Barca in October 2025.

It will be tough, and I don’t think we’ll be able to make it in the end, but there’s still time to change things for the better. 2 weeks to go in the January window and there’s still some tactical options left to try for Almeyda.

The club has been severely mismanaged for a long time and it’s natural for it to culminate with a Segunda relegation.

Vamos!

YEN seems to be on the move to Juventus, Sevilla had a buy-on clause in their sale agreement with Fenerbahce, but from what I’ve read, I believe it won’t be in force if YEN completes a loan (with option to buy)

In a transfer looks like we’d get 10%. What’s his market value these days? 30? 40? I actually have no idea how well he’s been playing but if juve want him, I’m assuming pretty well.

According to the article I had read the sell-on clause only counts for a direct sale, if YEN left on a loan with a buy clause it wouldn’t count. It may not be the case if it’s a loan without a compulsory purchase.

He’s rated at €22 million ($26 million) according to Transfermarkt. He’s scored 7 goals in 15 games this season for Fenerbahce.

That’s so weird. So even if they did buy him with the purchase clause later we’d get nothing then?

Please do not take Maupay.
