Seeing Jan Virgil go to Brugge for 12m release clause and not seeing Sevilla match that, makes me sad. He was just the kind of player I would love to see here.

Real surprise indeed, seeing the club manage to pool together 6.5m upfront. Guess that’s the gameplan of Navarro and co - sell the high-earners or let their contracts expire, scrap whatever’s available and then go for your targets.
Going by my joke earlier that he’s a poor man’s Sesko, if he’s anything like that we could have something going. He’ll definitely be starting from Day 1 and I hope this means Garcia is planning two upfront as Issac has been screaming for a strike partner since YEN left. If the midfield is doing a double pivot of Agoume and Guridi then Vargas and Ejuke will occupy the wings, back four will be Oso, Salas Sangante and Carmona for a solid 4-4-2, let’s just ignore the bench for now.
I think 12m is out of reach for the club at this moment, my friend. Hopefully they can afford this in 2-3 seasons.

I think Oso is making the switch to wing full-time with Diaz as Suazo’s backup. At least that is what we have seen in the preseason.

Good to know as I haven’t been able to catch any preseason games. Ejuke might be kept as an impact player or sold if suitors come for him. I’d like to know how Peque fits in this, he’s talented but his stature means he’s at a definite disadvantage against center backs, could he be deployed on the wings as well?

They’ve used him mostly as a false 9 and CAM/SD in the preseason. He’s been allowed to roam around. He’s played well and has had a few beautiful balls that led or should have led to a scoring chance.

To address Ejuke, he hasn’t played at all and I don’t know that he has even been training with the group. I’m sure he is going to be moved along unfortunately.

Apologies he’s Scottish. I’ve just seen a you tube video. He looks a very impressive player. 6 foot,2 and has a good touch on the ball. Only a matter of time before a big club would of signed him. Coming from Glasgow he will the nature grit they have up there..

From what I read Ejuke has been allowed to train with the first team squad because he has showed a willingness to seek a transfer out of the club.
When Peque played at Santander, he played as a secondary striker, just behind the main striker, and scored 19 goals. I don’t understand why they try to play him as a ten/playmaker.
Ure should bring a good amount of stature & physicality to the team, but he has a decent touch & mobility as well as an eye for goal. The main question is can he adapt to the city and the team.
As a fellow Glaswegian, I will happily offer my services as his cultural envoy.

Navarro doing wonders here clearing the deadwood. I read that Sevilla will cover the difference in wages between Jordan’s old and new contract but getting him out is a relief in itself.
Now just a few more such as Gattoni, Cardoso, Pedrosa and maybe even Marcao and Alfon.

We are paying the difference in what they negotiated. Same as Nianzou. Jordan is only one year, Nianzou is two I think.
