As top division football is confirmed for next season, we can already look forward to what plans will take shape for Sevilla next campaign. It’s reported that Antonio Cordón is expected to leave, and has already stopped planning for next season some time ago.
Due to Cordón’s impending exit, the Marin deal seems to have stalled, and is likely to eventually collapse. Both deals for Sangante & Iglesias should be done, while the Mercado signing may depend on a medical, which now looks grim after suffering a serious injury a few months ago.
As things finalize with the takeover in the next few weeks, we’ll see if García Plaza will be kept as head coach. I’m personally not opposed to this, unless the powers that come to be have other ambitions.
In terms of our summer window, who knows what our budget will look like, and if Sevilla will have to again try to earn funds thru player transfers. If that’s the case, i’m sure players like Agoume & Vargas will be considered. If i have a personal request, we should keep Oso for at least 1 more season, and why not more Sevilla DNA by bringing back Carlos Álvarez?
Much more optimistic about the window with new management and Corndog gone, his track record was alright given his predecessor was Orta but major moves are needed.
I remember someone listed that a number of contracts were up after this season and some are undoubtedly high earners such as Azp and Alexis, not sure if they should be back.
Then there’s the bunch that have not performed as expected, Nianzou and Marcao are definitely in this bracket and I would put Sow here as well.
Next are the one’s who have value, Agoume (who has been pretty average tbh), Vargas and Juanlu are definitely here. If the new director is half competent we should be looking to net 50m from these at least.
Good start to rebuild the defense. Iglesias brings experience to the fullback position and the trio of Sangante, Castrin along with Salas as your centre backs is also nice to have. Carmona should have the right back slot locked down so now it depends on whether Oso can step up. Suazo is serviceable but not a long term solution.
Cesar Azpilicueta has announced that this current season will be his last as a professional footballer. It’ll be sad to see him go, despite the injuries, I feel his experience will be missed.

I’d be ok with those two CB but we absolutely need to invest in back up. Neither has “reliable all season" on their name card. Kike may get in his head, not to mention the legal stuff over the Yellow Card Incident, and Castrin is too green to be confident in his all-season consistency.
Overall, I actually think this would be a pretty decent summer dealing if we can afford these signings and if we magically make bank on Akor.
I dont think we should sell Akor. I think he did well this season and he deserves a chance to lead the line with better people providing him. He’s not Youssef En-Nesyri or Carlos Bacca but hes better than other options we have had in recent years
Muriqi is an amazing target man, but at this point in his career, he will either go to Barca as a backup or more realistically, go back to Turkey at Fenerbahce or Galatasaray (Fenerbahce better odds).
Seeing Nyland be his old self in goal for the last matchday reminds me that Vlacho was on a loan. Newcastle have more or less marked Pope as their no.1 but sending back Ramsdale means they need a backup which is where Vlacho might come in.
In that case, we need a new keeper, any names that we could realistically get? I was thinking Bono could come back then read he signed an extension last year that will keep him in Al Hilal until 2028.
Also, I like Pablo Maffeo, at the very least he kicks the crap out of Vini and gets in his face, absolute banter.
What we really need this summer is to make some really good sales.
That possible with some of our better players and try get maximum amount of money for them. Then try sell some players that are on big money contracts and salaries to get them off wage bill.
We need to get money back into club as a priority. The debt has to be cleared or brought down at least. If there is any board changes hopefully some people/investors with may join.
We need money in first to steady ship and then try rebuild squad getting players cheap and scouting them to get the best young player in all areas of the field. We have done it before with Monchi especially back in 2000’s and then again in 2010’s. We must do it again. Do as best as possible with sales and recruit well from maybe best players in segunda or bottom la liga or other European teams that not big but have young talented or have potential players.
Let’s see what sporting director we get. We need to see if the manager stays too or we get a new one. Bordalas leaving getafe and been linked with us apparently.
We need to defend better next season too. The attack actually wasn’t too bad and saved us. Defensively we were shocking though. If forest or whichever English team wanted Carmona for like 30million they can have him! lol
