Late to this thread, I watched the game back on replay.
My thoughts are it was another poor performance and I can’t recall the team having a decent attacking chance all game. The build up play and attack was completely toothless and devoid of ideas. If Atleti had been more clinical, they could have scored 4 or 5 at least. Outclassed is one word to use. With respect to Carmona and Salas, playing ‘kids’ against a quality side like Atleti isn’t a good idea. You do need your experienced players such as Navas and Rakitic. Defensively at fault for both goals and leaky is one word to use for the defence!
More tough matches to come against Dortmund and Athletic and struggling to see a positive result from them. Meanwhile Lope continues to hang on…
It was a bitch of a transfer market which caused us some errors. Tecatito got injured and Marcao couldn’t start. Plus the players finally had enough of Lope.
Acuña, Fernando and Rekik having recurrent problems.
But good news, Marcao is back in training and Tecatito is up and about (can’t do a reveal on that). Also, Dolberg gives us something different.
