We can only hope the international break has come at the right time and a few more players might be back and things get better, but I’m not holding my breath…

Yeah that’s the only positive. I definitely think it’s a positive we not playing for 2 weeks. We are just annoying to watch at times, it gives us an opportunity to rest and get some injured players for again.
We really need to change our tactics and approach though. Teams have worked us out and we offer very little. I hope it changes somewhat with players back but like you said I’m not holding my breath.

First thing, Lamela immense.
Second, Dmitrovic done the job.
Third Martial is a dud.
4th the system doesn’t work. We spend half the game rotating the ball and waste 50 or more minutes thinking about it, while we could be attacking and scoring, which is precisely why we don’t rack up bigger scorelines.
5th it’s not all bad news, we are still there, other results have been kind and we have a break to recover injured players.

Frustrating draw again but I saw positive signs after Lamela finally came back.
We then had better link-up play between him and Navas/Montiel on the right, more energy in attack and more options in the last third.
We still miss a quality centre-forward though, to be a real threat in the box and to take advantage of some nice cutback passes usually from Navas from near byline as was the case a couple of times in the last 15 minutes tonight.

I listened to most of the game yesterday minus the last 10. I’m a bit optimistic that the team can turn around the recent form. Once Papu is back and Lamela is seeing the pitch, we will be a different team. Remember when we scored 16 goals in the first 10 matches of the year? Yeah I know that seems so long ago, but this team can score…just needs the right pieces. Martial appears to not be a piece.
