Intentions very well, some decent chances. But atleast we are somewhat getting to goal.
We looked good but our finishing has been woeful. I hate not scoring in the first half, with this many chances we should be ahead. But a lot better than boring old sleepy lope ball, something seems different
I thought I saw a woman drinking a beer in the stadium. Did they change the rules, can you buy beer in the stadium now?
We played well that first half. Created a lot of chances and some nice link up play in midfield. Oliver and lamela been impressive. The new boy did well at back I thought. We certainly looked better but just not clinical in front of goal.
Overall though a positive performance from the team.
Itâs so frustrating. We look good until the final third where weâre just clueless. Thereâs nothing going forward. I just donât know where the goals are coming from. We had the better of the half but that doesnât count for much unless you have goals to show for it.
Valladolid with their only shot came closest to scoring.
Says it all.
Itâs normally the exact opposite, Montiel is doing great at getting into place to receive. Itâs usually all through Tecatito and Acuña and Navas doesnât get the service because the team is feeding the left side more.
Continue like this and the goal will come. I think with Nianzou in there, we are looking forward quicker to not overplay it in defense for his sake. He isnât getting too much ball, but doing fine. Oliver and Lamela and Fernando driving forces.
Not bad⊠the players are trying, but the quality is not there. If we only had a striker who could make use of half-decent chances (not every chance is perfect, in fact often none in a match) and a forward-passing midfielder unlike the pitiful Jordan, weâd fare much much better and couldâve already scored against this pathetic Valladolid side.
Nianzou is very solid at the back + an aerial threat = I can see a world class CB in the making with a bit of luck (no injuries etc.)
Letâs see some Isco in the second half and hopefully win this match.
I like the fact Rafa is being involved more with the linkup play â generated our best chance of the game. Shouldâve done better with that.
Ball is moving at a better pace than normal, and has made it easier to get into final 3rd. Just lacking with the final ball. I think weâll eventually score if we keep playing this way.
Only zero alcohol beer last time i was there.
They really are playing like scrubs, throwing themselves on the floor to kill off the game. I get it, but i also hate it.
Just wish we could punish them with all those giveaways.
I really donât know where to start with the tactical problems we have, our best chances come from desperate long balls and our most forward player usually has nobody to share the ball with, stupid on stilts. Better to play 4-4-2 because weâre going nowhere fast despite superiority, it just doesnât hang together what weâre doing.
Interesting camera spots by the cameraman. Seems to find all the pretty Sevillianas.
I swear its somebody his job to actually full time spot those in sports games.
I am a Chicago Cubs fan and they always had day games back in the day. The old announcer (Harry Caray) always made crude and cringy comments about the hot girls the cameraman would find. @RyanMoore knows what Iâm talking about haha.
That has to be a penalty no?
For sure.
Tanguy misshitting Sergi Guardiola, we got away with it.
That was a pen. Weâve really got away with that one.
Lamela having a match folks! Oliver pulls it wide.
