I don’t think Lope is going anywhere if we finish Top 4.
To clarify, this isn’t me arguing for or against him as our manager next year. It’s simply what I think will happen rather than what I’d like to happen.
lol whats the reason for optimism? ungrounded optimism gotta love it, if only things worked like that. The fact of the matter is the result of this year, and us being second is a god´s miracle already. You are really wishing to get hit in the face (with reality) next year.
I think we need a change personally regardless of where we finish. Lope has served the club well over the last few seasons but he’s getting tired now. We need a freshen up both in terms of management and the playing squad.
Still, if we don’t have optimism, why watch? If I didn’t have this optimism, I wouldn’t be a fan. Constantly arguing for the worst possible outcome is incredibly exhausting. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
Not write off next season but I wouldn’t have much hope if Lope is there. A lot would have to change.
I’d welcome massive turnaround too.
That will bring risk, hope and fresh air, for better or worse.
At least I know I can hope for a new style and tactics rather than same old Lopeball.
Stagnation in a boring way is the last thing I want to see from Sevilla.
Oh I have a lot of optimism, both as a fan and in life in general. Just that the realistic side kicks in at a certain time, enough for not allowing me to resort to blind optimism - which is not good ![]()
You are just hard ignoring reality, that´s fine. Literally feeling obliged to be positive, although the walls are full of signs is like, putting up your fake smile to work everyday. Don´t be like that. Just quit it, change direction and hope for the best.
Literally nothing you’ve posted lately shows this.
Well yeah… ‘lately’ is an accumulation of 3 seasons of this crap.
Man, it’s got to be exhausting to live like you do.
Nothing wrong with being optimistic but we’ve also got to be realistic. We’re not going to improve with Lope as manager, at best stagnate and at worst things go even more backwards. That is where we’re at now I fear.
Lmao. Can´t be critical about football.
Taking it to about my life, like you know anything about it.
Only thing we are talking about is football, has nothing to do with life outside of it. If you think this football is positive, fine. Just don´t force your american pink filtered result football view on others.

The EL gave not only me, but all of us here a high dose of optimism and we gave Lope another chance after a generally woeful play that season. That EL mini-tournament triumph was meant to be a foundation to build greater things with Sevilla. Turned out to be a pyrrhic victory now after 3 seasons - opposite of blessing in disguise.
But after the last season a lot of us said alright, third time’s the charm - let’s give the guy another chance. Same shit again… so what, another chance? Not for me, thanks.
I mean the management will probably keep him but that’s just sad at this point.
I’m not arguing for another chance. I’m saying that I think the club will keep him. Those aren’t mutually exclusive.
Keep posting your opinion though, @sterusebn. You’re perfectly entitled to it.
Lope needs to leave Sevilla after this season, otherwise we will have more of the same next season, with lesser chance to be in top 4.
Substitutions very rarely improved the team play in the last few months and often led to deterioration instead.
Today once he put Delaney in, there was no need to keep Jordan on as well.
Keeping YEN as the focal point up front has continued to blunt our attack.
And that kind of decision-making has been going on for most of this season.
