I’d be more confident if we had YEN back from injury too.
Thought it was looking a bit murky during the post match interviews. Either that or our tv needed dusting.
I’m a little late to the party, but here are my thoughts:
- All things considered, I think yesterday’s game went as well as could be expected.
- The game wasn’t too exciting, but we were playing without a lot of key players.
- We went into an opponents home and put the work in to come out with a victory. (That’s never easy, no matter who you’re playing.)
- We’re going to need to continue to polish things, but a win is a win. It’ll be interesting to see what formation/starting XI we come out with on Wednesday.
- We won in October!!!
I don’t know what happened there, hasn’t trained today but YEN and Papu have.
YEN is back in training? That’s massive!! Vamos!!
YEN back in training. The Lille game will be too soon but YEN should be back in squad for levante. Good news!
Well Koundé and Papu made the squad, while YEN stays home to prepare for the weekend.
More nonsense; Fifa are voting on whether to hold the world cup every two years.
I wouldn’t mind a World Cup every two years, but I’d hate to see continental championships go away.
Also, there’s no way that UEFA or CONMEBOL will agree to this without kicking and screaming.
Considering the current World Cup in Qatar is costing about 220 billion dollars and thousands of human lives. I wouldn’t be surprised. Starting to make football, the utmost important thing, it seems.
If they remove the Euros (EC), and just keep it as a European Qualification for the World Cup, it sounds more interesting to me, I like it way more when intercontinental nations clash. But it probably will go at the cost of some of the smaller countries, who maybe could have gotten a qualification for the Euros but come short to the absolute top. S oI guess it’s another form of commercialization and making the elite countries even bigger by the platform. I’m not a huge fan of the Euros personally although I can understand the continental cups are interesting for some nations. But it does take away something from the speciality.
I love the idea but I don’t like the way fifa are inventing new stuff with such ‘gay abandon’ and also how the actual rollout will impact league football. I’m already sick of all the international breaks.
They know we’ll still consume it. As long as we show up, they won’t stop.
