M7: Sevilla FC vs Espanyol

Pique has been getting a lot of those… but RM players are treated differently in that aspect. They can even beat up the referee if they’re frustrated enough and will still not see a double yellow or red.

Yeah Real Madrid are definitely the golden balls of la liga. They get away with all of these situations.

Thankfully we play Granada next who aren’t really in form. We probably only going to be missing YEN so great chance to add another 3 points.

Even if YEN is out vs Granada, Rafa Mir has gained my trust

Yeah I agree. Plus we have so much quality up with Mir too. Hopefully YEN isn’t as bad as we fear. We will find out more soon. We only missing Delaney for one game too which isn’t bad.

We should appeal it though. Ref was a joke and joke decision

Both teams to score looks like a save bet tonight, let’s hope Unai Emery can be at service for us once more…

Yeah Villarreal have a chance but will be tough. If Real Madrid come down to earth a bit this la liga title race will get so exciting for us. Barca and atleti are nothing special now so we just have to hope real showsome cracks and again we can really dream big.

In my opinion, Madrid have a good squad they just lack depth, especially at the back. One injury could wreck them and their title hopes

Great win today especially getting that second when Delaney was sent off.

Second in the league. Looking very good. Let’s hope Real slip up now!

One serious injury to Benzema and they’re out of business, where is Gary Medel when you need him?

Yeah Madrid is fragile. A loss of Big Ben or any injury to their back line and they will struggle. First real test for them today and they came up with a nothing burger.

I agree. I think villarreal could have won it. They were better and controlled most of the match.

Also looking at the referee again, during the game I already said he’s an unusual suspect to be our ref. In all history we had him 6 times apparently, in 3 of which we got red carded. Not really a coincidence, he has a personal issue with Sevilla, I don’t want to see him assigned to our games never again.

He didn’t even give yellow for the charge or better saidDelaney his correct tackle, he called foul. His first mistake, already costing us a free kick, then carding Delaney for the throw away move, costing us a yellow but this can be justified if the ref has an ego problem which in Spain they tend to have no souvereign attitude except swinging their cards. Which he immediately confirmed. After which, Thomas applauded for, and punishing the compliment with another yellow. And just liberally giving a red card, for what supposed to be our possession and continuing play. How is that justified? Besides the ref having a ego problem? Goes past my mind really. It’s beyond football. Can they fight this or at least suspend him. Can the var only say he did a thumbs up behind his back and not say it was a correct tackle and he should be free of cards?

Good to see us being so versatile instead of the usual predictable stuff, I was getting a bit fed up after Sociedad and the penalty fiasco in Champions. Still a discipline problem … professionals control their tantrums. Suso did some good work but can’t continually lose possession.

Navas bounces back, Jordan and Rekik come good, K and DC solid as ever. Still only 2 goals against, the lowest in la liga. Analyse that Simeone. !

Ocampos goes off with an ovation for his workrate.

But Acuña, wow, sees a bunch of Espanyol defenders and goes through them like Rambo, it’s great to see him back at his best.

I usually applaud ref’s that book players that get in their face complaining. But this was waaaaaay too harsh.

Those ‘Top 3’ teams get in the ref’s face with about 5 men all the time, and yell so close and loud to their faces that those referees probably can taste their breaths and feel the vibration of their voices … yet they almost never get booked for it.

Ocampos’ work rate was good, but he has lost possession countless of times, quite selfish and unproductive yet again.

I’m inclined to agree but the Sanchez Pizjuan were highly delighted with him.

Missed the game, but reading through here it seems we did well.

Looks like mr Mir is a good signing.

Every great scout fails sometimes, like you did with Rony Lopes :stuck_out_tongue: , but in overall you have a sniff for good players and especially good goalkeepers :muscle:
